Hogwarts Is Home's August 2006 Hogsmeade Weekend has officially begun!

A post will be up shortly with the polls for the 3 contests. We had some really awesome entries! I'm impressed with everyone's creativity. Also coming up is the first discussion post for this weekend.


Now, some reminders.


Points:
-- You can earn 5 points by making a post to hogsmeadewkends! There are rules about this, though...
-- Earn points by stamping the apps at hh_stamping! One for each stamp - so far, you've got 4 possible points!
-- Participate in the discussion posts for unlimited points! All substantial replies earn 1 point and your first one earns you 2 knuts. You can earn 6 knuts this weekend by participating in each discussion.

Rules:
-- When posting or making a comment, you must sign with your name and house to earn points and knuts.
-- No foul language or vulgarity of any kind, please. I am the ultimate judge of this, but basically, keep it PG-12 or I will dock you points and/or remove your access to the community until the next weekend.
-- Posts to the community must be on topic. This means that they must relate to either the Harry Potter universe or Hogwarts Is Home or jokes/riddles/puns/etc in some way. Because this weekend is "Humour" themed, jokes, riddles, etc need not be HP-related, but please confine them to as few posts as possible.
-- Graphics other than a sigtag MUST be behind an lj-cut out of courtesy for those on slow connections. (This does not count for comments, of course!)
-- This list may be subject to change at any point in the future should I realize I have forgotten something, or should an item need clarification.


If you've wanted a chance to show off your dolls or graphics or whathaveyou to other members of HiH outside your CR, but you don't have or don't want to open an HH_Flourish shop, here's your chance to show them off! Do you have a cool survey you want others to answer? What about a fun quiz? Go ahead and post them to the comm! Hogsmeade Weekend is a treat for YOU!

Books can be modern or classics, make-believe or real, there are no restrictions on this! The discussion will end with the close of Hogsmeade.

Caption #6 should be:
One holiday break, Ron and Hermione both decided to stay at Hogwartswith Harry since he always stayed. But this year, Harry was chosen to go to a dance with someone he met at the Triwizard Tournament (the trip would take up his whole Winter Break but he was excited). So while Hermione and Ron were back at Hogwarts bonding, they made a snowman of Harry to keep them company.
