Hello everyone!!

The community wide chat will officially start in about 20 minutes at 2 pm MST (GMT -7). You are more than welcome to join us earlier if you would like.


If you are familiar with IRC, the jist of it is:

Channel: #HiHGreatHall.

A wondefully detailed tutorial has been posted by kecchin. It can be found here. HOWEVER, the old Great Hall Chat is broken, so anywhere that it says "irc.alexisnet.net" needs to be replaced with "irc.esper.net".

ALSO, if you cannot use mIRC, Mibbit is a great alternative and VERY easy. All you have to do is select "Esper webirc" from the drop-down list, enter your nickname in the "Nick:" box, and type #HiHGreatHall in the "Channel(s):" box.

If you have any problems getting into the chat, please leave a comment right here on this post, so that I will get it rather than kecchin or viridian_virtue and I will help you out as best as I can.

There are a few rules for this chat:
• Absolutely no house-bashing or person-bashing.
• Please try to sign in with something similar to your LJ username, so we all know who you are.
• As HiH as a community is PG-13 so keep it clean.

So apparently the punch at the valentine's ball was spiked (hmm...viridian_virtue  I'm not looking at you ;) But besides the copious amounts of fire whiskey somone slipped in some veritaserum. What thought might you let slip when meeting your favorite HP character.

I'm going to be immature and say that I'm highly attracted to Snape even though he's nasty and has greasy hair. I fear the response I'd get, lol.
