We have 14 recipes for Amortentia. All of them are fantastic, but we'll have to settle on one. Therefore, look and decide on which recipe we're going to add to our potions book.
1.
Make in a black cauldron
Simmer a raspberry liquor on a low heat
Slowly whisk in some shavings of truffle (mushrooms)
Add one hair from a lover and one hair of dragon tail
Mix thoroughly
2.
Add each of the following ingredients, one at time over a boiling hot cauldron.
3 lovage leafs - a good base for start to get the drinkers juices flowing
1 small sprig of Alihotsy - no more than 1 gram as too much will cause hysteria but just the right amount will make the drinker be in a dream like state.
4 Leafs off a daisy - for pureness of heart
1 tsp fluxweed - for a hint of mint taste to go down easily
Boil for 1 hour and 6 seconds only - if you boil longer you must start over.
Pour into cup and serve in exactly 23 seconds - at exactly the 24th second the drinker will smell their particular Amortentia odor - if any longer you must start over.
3.
Ingredients
One cup elderflower wine
Half cup honeysuckle nectar
Half cup each chopped wild bleeding-heart and forget-me-not, flowers only
Quarter cup of moondew
Two tbsps chopped Maca root (for potency)
One tbsp ground ginseng root
Half tsp dried Cardamom (or substitute whole tsp fresh)
Pinch of powdered blister beetle (for lust - do NOT overadd, poisonous in large quantities!)
One drop blood
Directions
Add wine and nectar to cauldron and bring to a gentle boil. Add all other ingredients save blister beetle, moondew and blood, stirring each in slowly. Reduce heat and allow potion 3-4 minutes to simmer; it should be a pleasant blue with a sweet odour. Add the blister beetle and then immediately pour in the moondew. Stir well, and the potion should immediately adopt its characteristic mother-of-pearl sheen. Finally, add a single drop of blood from the person who desires the attentions of the drinker (this part is typically skipped in lessons). The potion's steam should begin spiralling in a clockwise direction, and by now the scent should be variable depending upon the individual. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely before consuming, and use with caution!
Notes
Many of these ingredients have long been associated with love or lust by muggles; the blister beetle is even used by them today as a purported aphrodisiac (under the name "Spanish fly"). The use of human blood in this potion, however, places it strictly within the realm of "spells which are a bit Dark and probably a very, very bad idea."
4.
Add one medium-sized vial of Belladonna Essence to three teaspoons of chopped lovage.
Stir the potion anti-clockwise five times whilst adding one small-vial of Glumbumble secretion.
Sprinkle the solution with a sprig of peppermint
Then leave to settle for one hour.
Then add Jobberknoll feathers and heat solution until the feathers have entirely dissolved.
Add a vial of ashwinder eggs and stir clockwise until the aroma becomes pleasant and familiar.

Harry turned a page in a potions book he'd picked up. He wasn't particularly interested in potions, but it was that or transfiguration. He was more interested in subverting Snape's chance to mock him than escaping the wrath of his Transfiguration professor.
Amortentia
He stopped for a moment, and scanned the page. A love potion. Huh. He smiled thinking of all the trouble love potions could cause, and then gave the ingredients a quick look over.
Ingredients:
-red rose petals (fresh)
-mother of pearl chips
-the heart of cupid
-rosemary
-jasmine
-gold shavings
*Stir in triangular motion
Harry cocked his head. What exactly was the heart of cupid? He placed his hand over his own heart. Surely they couldn't mean...

Today you will be learning how to make Amortentia, one of the most powerful love potions known in the wizarding world. To make this rather advanced potion you are going to need frozen Ashwinder eggs because everyone knows that they are a key ingredient in most love potions. After that you will add two hairs of unicorn tail to give it the mother-of-pearl sheen that Amortentia is known for. You want to make sure that after you add this is you stir the potion 12 times counterclockwise. This will help the color
become more visible instead of a more translucent white color. Then you have to let the potion simmer for about 20 minutes before you add the jobberknoll feathers, which helps the person forget who they really like(if they like anybody at all) and makes them think that they are in love with you. Be careful not to over stir, 2 times counterclockwise should do it, otherwise the potion will be too strong and might have a longer lasting effect on the person. The last ingredient is flobberworm parts, this is simply used to thicken the potion. Once you have stirred the flobberworm parts 5 times clockwise your Amortentia is done and ready to give to the next unsuspecting person. Just remember to choose your person wisely.

It wasn't his fault. Potter, in the library, had been a cause for concern. He was up to something, and Severus had only wanted to know what.
It'd taken a week to find out. Seven days of skulking behind bookshelves and watching which volumes he selected. He'd stolen a page of scratched notes before he knew.
Potter was making Amortentia.
Snape would've laughed, if the situation was different. Potter had the potions skills of a troll, and love potions were tricky. But he had to be sure.
Just a cursory glance, for Lily's sake. It didn't hurt to read the recipe.
Ashwinder eggs were the only constant. Their frozen fire was passion held in potential. But after that, there were no ingredients. Only guidelines. The ingredients were specific to the intended, bringing their essence to the potion. Their desires. The scent was individual, but he hadn't realized the difference lie in the brewing. A permanent love potion required intimate knowledge of the recipient.
To bring about love's first bloom, petals from their favorite flower. Petunia, for the sister who no longer cared. James had scrawled her name.
To drink of love's bliss, a drop of their favorite beverage. James had written pumpkin juice. But Severus knew she missed Coca Cola, the Muggle beverage she could only enjoy at home.
Severus slammed the book shut before he could read anything else. Potter could never entrap her with Amortentia. He didn't know her well enough.
But Severus did.
9.
1/4 cup shredded soap (can be the soap you use or the one your desire uses)
1 Stick of cinnamon
1 Tbs. Vanilla extract (the real extract, not the man made)
1/2 cup of apple cider
1/2 cup of your perferred liquor
and a dash of salt
Add all liquid ingrediants in a small cauldron over medium heat until a light boil.
When liquids have come to a light boil, add soap, cinnamon and salt to the mixture and bring to a rolling boil.
Once the soap and salt have completely dissolved, reduce heat and simmer for 13 more minutes.
When you have completed that, take off heat and allow to cool completely before bottling...
Molte Bene! Enjoy!

1/2 cup Sauerkraut
5 cups jolly ranchers
1 strand of unicorn hair/in dust form

Take a dropper and put 5 drops of sauerkraut juice into the vial of sweet liquid. Then add all of the unicorn hair dust. The cologne and spray is to kill the sauerkraut smell in your house. Entry:
Choose a cauldron made of copper. Pewter may leach into the potion and spoil the brew. Heat the cauldron for five minutes before adding any ingredients to it.
♦ Prepare your ingredients: two ripe pomegranates, three unicorn tail hairs, the petals of one daisy in full bloom, four sprigs of peppermint, finely ground, and one frozen Ashwinder egg.
♦ Slice the two pomegranates in half and squeeze the juice into the cauldron. Ensure that no pulp enters the cauldron. Cheesecloth works nicely as a strainer.
♦ Add three hairs from a unicorn's tail and the ground peppermint. Slowly stir clockwise 9 times and counterclockwise 3 times. Let rest until you begin to see small bubbles rising from the bottom of the potion.
♦ As soon as you see those bubbles, you must begin to add the daisy petals. Add them one at a time, stirring once clockwise, twice counter-clockwise, and once clockwise again after each petal is added.
♦ Allow the potion to come to a full, rolling boil. Very gently and carefully add the frozen Ashwinder egg. If you are not very careful, the egg will explode and your work will be ruined.
♦ The egg will spread on its own. No stirring will be necessary. After two minutes, if you've done everything correctly, you will begin to smell your favorite scents. If you can still smell peppermint and that is not one of your favorite scents, then you have failed and will need to start over.
