Odd question
If you can have a cat at the castle, how are they fed? Where are the catboxes? Does Filch clean them, or the house-elves, or do the students who own them clean up after them?

Is there a cattery just like there's an owlery?

I'm assuming the cats stay in the dormitories; doesn't Crookshanks?

Hmm, never thought about it. Perhaps there are litterboxes in the dorms and the house-elves empty them every night. And there are charms on them to not get smelly. And the house-elves probably leave out bowls of cat food and water or tuna and milk or something.

That's a good question. My guess would be house elves. o_O

Thats actually really funny if you think about it. Imagin it being the house elves...you never hear Hermione complaining about THEM cleaning up the dirty litter or anything.

I presume they just roam the common rooms and grounds as they please, just like Crookshanks does, and the house-elves clean up after them.
