Let the Rumors begin!
So far...what I have seen is that GoF the movie will end up being 4 hours long...probably NOT split into two films, it will just have an intermission durring the middle somewhere when viewed in theaters.

Draco will not be making an apperence.

The first one I can probably guess to be true. I've seen the exec. reports from WB...but what about the Draco part? That's just rumor right? You never know with these people. The director is quoted as saying he wants to make the movie a "thriller". So who the hell knows. -_-;

The second isn't true. Tom says himself that he's busy filming the movie, so yeah. :D

But I hope it is four hours long...it'll do it justice, then, since the original time length I heard was two hours and a half.

Tom Felton is credited for GoF at the imdb.com...so I would assume that he'll be in the movie..

the second rumour is definitely very untrue. and i really doubt the first one. i knew they were debating whether to make it into two movies, or cut it a lot into two and a half hours. i think they decided to just shorten it a lot, not make it into two parts with an intermission or whatever.

Oh, so you meant that they have plans of butchering it to the point that every single important detail is left out in order to keep it under 1 hr 30 min like they did with all the other movies?

basically, yes.

i'd hate to be the person who had to do that, wouldn't you? first of all, it'd be hard enough deciding what isn't important enough to keep in, and then there are all of the people (like us) who will murder you if you keep anything out at all...heh.

I think I'll just savor the movie in my mind (and watch the actual movie, but skip through all the parts not including Snape, teehee).

the director said that he isn't going to do that. He said that the book was long...thus the movie will be long as well...

Like everyone else is saying, second one is definitely not true, for good ol' TOMF Tom Felton mentioned about filming on his blog.

I thought Mike Newell was quoted on saying GoF was "more of a romantic comedy"? Well, I guess I'd rather it be a thriller than a romantic comedy. -_-

you scared the hell out of me with the no draco in GoF. i swear to god, if they cut draco, i would not go see the film because that would prove how horrible it's going to be.

:prays it's a rumor:

The 1st rumor is not true. Though it is definitely a great idea and I wish it were. I've heard it's going to be normal length, in 1 film.

Draco is, indeed, in the films as well. :)

A thriller? Oh lord. That's almost as bad as Hermione Emma's pink jacket.

They can't take out Draco. He's a major character and very important to future books as well. JKR would SO have their heads if they took him out...

But I can definitely see the first rumour being true. The third movie was about 3 hours long, if I remember correctly. and they've got a LOT to cover in this one. If you ask me, it should take longer than 4 hours.

I really hope they don't try to make it a thriller...I mean, yeah, there will be some scary parts (graveyard scene, anyone?) but they can't make it a thriller...

i'm sick of these directors and the WB's lousy decisions. when i get older I'll remake the movies to include every detail or atleast keep the atmosphere of the books and there will be GOOD actors cast in this one (ie. not daniel). and people who actually look the parts.

...I'll scream if we don't get to see Draco The Amazing Bouncing Ferret, I've been looking forward to it since I read the book and they started making the movies...

*cries and prays for Tim Burton to direct one of them one day*
