*waves*
Howdy everyone. A very merry Hogsmeade Weekend to ya'll!

First, a thwap to the head my congratulations to the snaky people. Is that the best you can do? We did better, we shall get you back, we shall eliminate you, resistance is futile! You did an excellent prank *grins*

Anyhow, the actual reason for this post... HBP comes out this summer (in 140 days, if I counted correctly...), and if I recall, JK Rowling said that at least one another is going to be leaving us. Though we all know Sirius is not dead, right?

So, whom do you think will be kicking the bucket in Book 6, and will be missed in Book 7? Any thoughts as to how he or she will pass, and why JK Rowling would kill him or her in HBP and not Book 7?

PS: Slyths, don't mind me if I annoy you endlessly with my persistant hyperness. No, wait... HiH, don't mind me if I annoy you endlessly with my persistant hyperness.

I think Lupin is going to kick it pretty soon. ::tear::

Yea, I suppose she would find it benefitting if all the Marauders were in the same place (aka dead)...

Sirius is on vacation people, VACATION! *is in serious denial*

I think JKR loves Lupin too much. It would take her a lot to actaully write the words "Remus is now on vacationdead." Then who would Harry be left withif everyone is on vacation? OMG that would be one angsty Harry with more CAPS LOCK personality. *cringe* All we can do is "cross our fingers and hope for the best".
[identity profile] ainu-laire.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 10:01 pm (UTC)
Hehe, me too, but slowly, both the fans and JKR have been crushing my hope *tear*

I agree - and I think that Peter Pettigrew will kill him.
Also since he got this silver arm from Voldemort and silver is obviously the only thing that can harm werewolves.

Exactly, dude.
[identity profile] marciamarcia.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 07:38 pm (UTC)
Dumbledore. Maybe I'm thinking more in terms of archtypes...but it's the whole "kill off the old master so that the young kid is really forced to find his footing" thing.

Or *please please please* Grawp. Because he is annoying.

[identity profile] luxuria.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 07:56 pm (UTC)
Agreed. I wont be surprised at all if Dumbledore dies, however I likely see it happening near the end of the 7th book instead.
[identity profile] ainu-laire.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:10 pm (UTC)
Same here. I mean, if he did die, I don't think I'd be surprised (yet I'd still be sad...)
[identity profile] ainu-laire.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:07 pm (UTC)
If Grawp died, I think I would host a party. I cannot stand him, and now, Hagrid is getting VERY annoying...
[identity profile] luxuria.livejournal.com on February 28th, 2005 12:12 am (UTC)
Man...and here I thought I was the only one that hated Hagrid. *cheers*

You know, I could very easily see him being the character that dies in the 6th book...if so, you wont see me shedding any tears.

I think it'll be one of the Weasleys, possibly Bill or Charlie.

Why couldn't JKR make me happy and just kill off Percy? If it had to be a Weasley, then Percy would be my choice.
[identity profile] maegwin-of-hern.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:16 pm (UTC)
Well, why would she spend so much time and effort in turning him into an ambitious little brat if this didn't play some more or less important role in the next books? That's just my opinion, really, but I think Percy's story isn't over yet, while on the other hand Bill and Charlie have always been further away in the background than Percy.

Because she knows how incredibly sad I would be if Percy died xD

But I do agree, I think Percy will play an important role in the upcoming books.

HAHAHAHA! Nice icon.
[identity profile] ainu-laire.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:49 pm (UTC)
I suppose you're right.

But one can dream, eh? Besides, most of my ideas for HP are pretty... strange and not exactly the best for the series.
[identity profile] kelleypen.livejournal.com on February 27th, 2005 12:36 am (UTC)
Not Charlie! He's my favorite Weasley.

HERMIONE GRANGER.

*twitch*

I nominate her.
[identity profile] semirose.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:33 pm (UTC)
And I second
[identity profile] weemumlessmngrl.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:34 pm (UTC)
All those opposed?

*crickets chirp*

Just what I thought. ;)
[identity profile] semirose.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:55 pm (UTC)
So we are agreed, one Hermione Granger shall be sacrificed in hte 6th book. Meeting adjourned.

And, by the way, your ID card kicks. Who made it?

I cannot remember completely... *wince* I think it was a username similar to 'intoxic', but I can't remember completely. It's a few months old.
[identity profile] lidane.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:15 pm (UTC)
I've got no problems with Percy kicking the bucket, though to be honest, I'd throw a party if it was Cornelius Fudge. Maybe then the Ministry would be forced into some sort of real action rather than just running around blindly like they have been.
[identity profile] ainu-laire.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 08:47 pm (UTC)
Oh, yes, Fudge... he is also on my list of 'Annoying 'Good-Guys' that Need to be Eliminated Right Now'...

Who at the ministry should die, you mean? Fudge, Umbitch, Percy, . . .

I want Dudley Dursley to die a horrible pain ridden death, he looks like a bludger with limbs.

I think it can be absolutely anyone at this point... once Sirius is put on haitus, all Hell breaks lose.

[identity profile] anodein82.livejournal.com on February 26th, 2005 10:52 pm (UTC)
Personally I would prefer it be Peter, but that's not who its going to be. Percy would be a wonderful person to kill off, but I have to agree that it will probably be Lupin. Or if we think like the Tom, it could be Dumbledore. Just for the specific reason that we know Harry is under Dumbledore's protection. Get rid of the Head Master and you've got Potter at your mercy.

Yes, I agree with you there. *waves a Sirius Lives flag*

I vote for a repented Percy first choice, and Hagrid, second choice. We could also go for some minor characters: Marcus Flint, Justin Finch-fletchly, Viktor Krum, . . .

I suspect it'll be a Weasley other than Percy. I mean, I like the Weasleys, but they make good targets with the bright red hair. And completely at random, Parvati Patil. I have no idea why, but I think she will.

And I'm really hoping for both Hagrid and Grawp to bite it.

I agree with you on the giants, but I don't think I could stand any Weasley other than Percy dying (yet knowing JKR, she'll do something awful >_<)
