Probably didn't expect to hear from me so soon, but I come to you all with the rules and an application for those wanting to start a shop in Hogsmeade.
Shop Rules for Hogsmeade Weekend
1. Prior to opening a shop, the application form must be filled out and approved before any further “building” can occur.
2. Shops must be behind a LJ-cut. You can give a brief description outside of the cut, but the majority of everything MUST be under cuts.
3. Official shops must charge for their services. All unofficial shops will be “demolished.” If you want to run a shop but do not want to charge, you may do so in your common rooms only (basically if you want to take requests for items you’ll produce for free) or make up the graphics before hand (icons, nameless house ID tags) and post them in a gift giving fashion according to the graphic posting rules on Hogsmeade’s user info page. No requests can be taken in Hogsmeade as that takes away from the official shops.
4. You must charge a reasonable amount for shop items. Non-animated graphics should cost less then animated graphics, and larger graphics should cost more then smaller graphics. Anything text related should be in the same fashion. Poems should be less then short drabbles which should be less then full stories.
5. You must make sure to mention that shop items are payment on request items. You must make sure that when your clients post the link for their Knut accounts that they a) are linking directing to their account, and b) actually have the Knuts.
6. Shops can not be run on credit.
7. When an item is bought, if it’s going to take more then one day to complete, please make the buyer aware of this and give them an estimated time line. If you think you might be overworked, close your shop with a promise to reopen at the next Hogsmeade weekend.
