How do you know?  
How do you know if you're spending too much time on HiH? Is it when you start wondering how many points you'll get for your homework - only to remember university profs aren't likely to give out points? Do you start wondering about how many knuts something would be? Do you have enough in Gringotts? What about starting an internal debate on whether JKR's or our knuts-sickles-Galleons system is?

Have you ever done something that makes you think you're spending too much time here?

I just about signed a comment in someone's personal journal with "Becker, Slytherin." In fact, I'm having to fight the compulsion to sign all my posts/comments everywhere with that. Next think you know, I'll be introducing myself to meatspace classmates as Becker, Slytherin.

I was pretty into the HP-verse all along, but HiH just encouraged it. I once almost said to someone who was annoying me that I'd muggle them given half the chance. Luckily I caught myself at the last second and just stared at them moodily, thinking of how many "no votes" they'd get and feeling smug.

I mentally sort people in my head...and whats worse.....I have little conferences and consider what my housemates would think...*slaps head* I need a REAL life..

-You keep sorting people of your RL into different Houses.
-You call people 'muggle!' and expect them to be offended
-You say 'no vote' if you don't want to talk to somebody.

Once I got really pissed off in a chat room and mentally thought "oooooh the mods are gonna take POINTS GALORE for this!" before realising that HiH does not contorl the entire universe.

cookies and Slytherin decorations. Because we have the nicest house colors, and we're just cool like that.

And we could seperate ourselves from the muggles and deduct points and have yule balls!

I just live in my own little fantasy world where this could all actually happen...

Guilty. I've sorted my family and most of my friends- My mum is a Puff, my dad is a Slytherin, and my bro is a Gryff. My boyfriend gets a muggle vote because he doesn't like HP at all *grr*

yes! i've signed COUNTLESS e-mails with "cj//Hufflepuff" and gotten some colorful responses back. most people are like WTF is a Hufflepuff?!... lol!

also, i tend to sort RL people. i can't tell you how many people i've mentally Muggled. ^_^

HP was an addiction before HiH anyway... now? it's an obsession. *nods* :D

not on HiH specifically, but on Harry Potter yes. I was watching the movie Cheaper by the Dozen. There's a character who has a pet toad named Beams. Well the toad dies and the kid is really upset. The family has a little funural for Beams for the kid. I sighed sadly and said "poor trevor"

That is the one time I truly questioned whether or not I was too obsessed with Harry Potter

I often daydream during Geometry, thinking of new contests and activities, or what else I need to do. I even carry around a notebook with me (that has Gryffindor all over it, may I add) so I can write down all the HiH things that comes to mind. Alas, it is so consuming!

I tried to get my friend patrick to read HP and he was like I hate HP. and i said "God, you..MUGGLE!"He kinda stared at me and i just said "Read HP.thbbbt!"

Well I've been an HP obsesser loonnggg before HiH. HiH has just influenced it more since coming here. :D Well I'm a huge L/J buff, and me and my HP obsessed friend decided we were gonna make a HP Prequel with Lily and James, Maruder Era, etc. Soo everytime I see a red-head I mentaly think of Lily and see if I could cast her. Same goes with James. hehehe! I'm still looking though... No one ever comes close to them, or at least my vision of them.

I also manage to explain to people how online Quidditch works. They all look at me like I'm nuts, but HEY, I'm an HP obsesser and I'm proud of it! XD

It's hard not to love it! I became addicted the first day I saw this (http://thunder.yansa.net/dragostea.html) flash video, and it's only gotten worse since. I can even sing alone with the real lyrics.

As can I. For the most part. I got addicted after seeing a video this kid in my school made for a drama commercial. Then to Numa Numa and now it's full blown in the school. Hehe.
