You can tell me how to hook UP my cable so I can FINALLY know what's going on in the WORLD because I'm OUT of the LOOP (imagine the inflection, with me)..........
Oh, and I need Stargate. I NEED STARGATE LIKE OXYGEN, I TELL YOU.
Whee hoo! Even before I read your post I had the urge to comment on your wonderful icon! Corddry as a ravenclaw is great!
And while I'm not a cable news in general nerd, I am totally a TDS nerd! Every 11pm my housemates ask me "what are we going to do tonight?" and I say, "the same thing we do every night, pinky, watch the daily show!" and then we watch too episodes in a row (or at least we did until they put on "too late with adam what's-his-name". Grrr. Argh.)
Right. I may have something vaguely resembling a point when I started typing this, but the Stargate Atlantis distracted me and I lost it.
Um... I don't know if we're all talking about the same Stargate here, but I don't have cable so I only get to watch the one on regular TV. I think it's Sunday nights.. hm.. Also, favorite book I think I'd have to say... anything by Ursula K. Le Guin.
Hey again, 'Claws, and happy Saturday morning! (to those of you in the Eastern time zone, anyway.)
We've covered books and several genres of TV, but I'm wondering about movies. What kind of movies to do enjoy the most? Intellectual, political, drama, action, comedic?
I love a wide variety of movies, as I'm sure a lot of you do, and what I pick to watch greatly depends on my mood. Seeing Hotel Rwanda was quite an experience, and has gotten me hooked on political dramas. I can't wait to see Crash when it comes out on DVD. But I've always loved comedies, especially romantic comedies. My current favourite movie is Saved with Jena Malone, Mandy Moore (I usually hate her, so I was pleasantly surprised), Macaulay Culkin, Mary-Louise Parker etc. Great movie, talented actors, hilarious, but with a pointed message.
I am really picky about movies. Even a little elitist and snobby :P The majority of what I watch are independent and foreign films, italian in particular. I am a big Bergman fan as well.
I don't usually care for comedies, romantic comedies, westerns (please no!), and most sci fi.
Favorite films are: Persona La Vita E Bella The Price Of Milk Lovers Of The Arctic Circle
I am very much looking forward to seeing Crash too :)
