Some ideas  

First off everyone is saying that you have to mean the Avada Kadavra. First, if Snape was helping Dumbledore, he would have meant it, but not in an evil way. And people that are just plain evil, Voldemort, Bellatrix, can do it no problem, cuz I bet they are just angsty emo people.

Second,Slughorn being the new teacher.Everyone thoughthewas the DADA teacher but were wrong. If Dumbledore knows all, and Snape is really on Voldemorts side. Dumbledore knew what Snape was planing, and instead of firing Snape, put him as the Dada teacher to get rid of him =D

Surprisengly , no one has mentioned this, WHO WILL BE THE NEW HEADMASTER? Mcgonnagle?

i know they are odd and farfecthed sorry =D

It is mentioned in the book that McGonagall is to become Headmistress. "Apparently she was now headmistress...so the room behind the gargoyle was now hers" (HBP 625)

She was Deputy Headmistress anyway. And besides, remember what happened in OotP, when they sent Dumbledore away and Umbridge was to act as Headmistress? The gargoyle wouldn't open for her. So the gargoyle would not have opened for McGonagall at all while Dumbledore was dead if she wasn't to be Headmistress. Make sense?
