Because I'm tired of cleaning and waiting to go to work, I thought it be best I come bug all of you! I know, I know, you're soooo lucky.

Because I like seeing nature v. nurture type stuff, sort your family and close friends. Explanations would be lovely.

Mom - definitely a Hufflepuff. She is the embodiment of a busy-bee. It's partially her fault I always have to find something to do rather than sitting down, or multitask three things at once or I'll get bored. The woman volunteers for more things at church and schools my siblings and I have long since graduated from than should be healthy. I admire her, but I can't live with her for more than a week. We get along better now that I moved 8 hours away.

Dad - Ravenclaw. My dad and I are superclose (especially compared to my mom) and I've inherited more from him and have more of his mannerisms. That I can recall, he knows and reads in at least 5 languages (English, German, Hebrew, Greek, and Portuguese). His bookshelves are crammed with books 2 and 3 deep. Though he's retired, he still goes to seminars on anything that interests him. My 'Claw side definitely comes from him.

Chase(older brother) - Gryffindor. For personality, think the Weasley twins, only with blonde hair and taller. He's a cop in the worst neighborhood in Augusta, so that definitely takes some guts. He's gone through a lot, and I've always admired how he looks on the positive side of things and never backed down from difficult times.

Lids(younger sister) - Hufflepuff. She's a lot like my mom, only we get along better. We had to share a room growing up though, so we didn't get along much until my junior year of high school. She's sweet and totally has that girl-next-door charm to her. She's one of the best friends you could ask for. Case in point - there's this guy at our church in GA. No one really cares for him and gets made fun of a lot...still (they're all College and Career age now. He's a year older than my sister and she's 22). At one retreat, the group was making fun of him behind his back and she stood up for him. She doesn't like him either, especially after I told her the only reason he started going to our church in high school was because he liked her and not because David invited him like he always told everyone, but she stuck up for him anyways. (What can I say? I'm good at finding motives.) But she's also not a person to cross (like Badgers). He was really mean and rude to her one too many times, so she won't speak to him or stick up for him anymore.

Also - My paternal Grandmother and maternal Grandfather are Gryffindors and my my maternal Grandmother is a Hufflepuff. My paternal Grandfather died when I was much younger and before I got to know him well enough.

So where does this leave me, the sole Slytherin in the vicinity? Well, had I been sorted when I was 11, or even 16-17, I would have ended up in Ravenclaw without a doubt. I wouldn't have wanted to be in Slytherin, especially since an "ends justify the means" mentality was awful to me then. I've inherited my curious nature and Ravenclaw side from my dad (nature). But my parents always pushed me to go for what I wanted to do and always supported and encouraged me in all my endeavors (nurture), which eventually brought out my Slytherin side. Granted, it didn't occur until college, but I've always been a bit of a late bloomer (and I'm a proud member of the "24 Year Old Jailbait Club" - for those who are 24 but look 16-17).

Kalan - My best bud and is a Ravenclaw. She loves analysing things and she's more a thinker than a doer. She was in my group of friends in high school that RP'ed Sailor Moon and she was Sailor Mercury, only more outgoing and bubbly. Although, I feel I should put her under family because she's spent so many holidays with us and we're so close, we're like sisters.

Chris - My best friend (when I was engaged, he was going to be my Man of Honour). He's the difficult one. I'd say he's a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. Even though I know him so well, and probably the best out of any of his friends, I still don't know where to place him. I'm trying to talk him into applying at HiH, just to see what others would say too, because he doesn't know either.

Lori - Think I would forget you?! How can I forget my Gryffindor counterpart? (She's [livejournal.com profile] anodein82 here and in HiH.) I think we definitely balance each other out, or she encourages my Gryffindor tendencies when they start to show. =)

Brian - At first, he seems like he'd be a Slytherin. But then you find his motives and reasonings behind doing what he does and find he's a Gryffindor through and through. (Lori - this is the friend I brought to Avio's, not my ex)

The Group - They're a mix of Gryffindors and Ravenclaws with the sole exception of Colby. He's a Slytherin who thinks he's a Ravenclaw. He's also the only RL Slytherin that I know.

Mom - a Hufflepuff. She's just loyal and caring and alwyas makes sure that we're taken care of. She wants the best for her family.

Dad - Slytherin. He's ambitious and he can be mean, and he's also cunning. He's not the stereotypical book Slytherin, but I still feel that he has a lot of Slytherin qualities.

Sister - I think she's a Gryfferin myself. She has Slytherin qualities in that she has a lot of big ambitions and she's quite well... bratty, but she's also tough and she's pretty brave for her age. A lot more than I was, for sure. So she'd be a tough one.

My paternal grandparents are both very strong Gryffindors I think, as especially my grandfather took a lot of hardships and overcame everything. Now, my grandmother is facing a lot of hardships since his passing, and she is handling it bettre than anyone could have expected.

I have to mention one of my cousins as well. [livejournal.com profile] spiraled_444, a fellow Gryffindor at HiH.

And I'm a Gryffindor, and I think I got a lot of my traits from spending alot of time with my grandparents when I was younger.

As for my friends, my friend Jenn ([livejournal.com profile] jennomac) is a Hufflepuff in HiH. My best friend Sarah would be a Slytherin, no doubt about it. She has the classic Slytherin upbringing. My friend Michelle would be a Gryffindor, she faced a lot of adversity and alwayss overcomes it, plus she is one of the bravest people I know.

This may be tough (I'm just doing my immediate family... I'm lazy like that)...

Dad: Ravenclaw. He's incredibly smart. He has tons of history books, and he's always on his computer. I have never seen him without his nose in a book or his face in front of the computer.

Mom: Hufflepuff. She's really loyal and friendly. What else can I say?

Brother: He's a Slyther-dor. Actually, I think he's a Gryffindor. I can't really explain it... I just get Gryffindor vibes from him...

mom- hufflepuff (btw, isn't wierd that so far all of our moms are hufflepuff?? She's always just liked to work. wierd.

dad- hmmm. i think he might be a ravenclaw. he loves learning things but goes in phases.

brother- um. muggle. he has no ambition. no courage. no interest in learning and is not a hard worker. seriously. i'm not just being mean. he does pretty good in life though. I think the only thing he really cares about is his son. so....maybe hufflepuff??

friends:
cheri: hufflepuff - total worker
dan: gryffindor/hufflepuff very chivalrous
adam: slytherin - gets what he wants
chris: slytherin - sweet talker
lisa: hufflepuff/ravenclaw - invests her heart in everything she does (alot in school)

Mom - My mom's a hard one. She's walking that line of traits that Gryffindor and Slytherin have in common. However, because she honestly believes she's always in the right, I'm going to say she's a Gryffindor. When it comes to my sister, brother and me, she's every bit as protective as Molly Weasley. I can tell horror stories about her coming to my college to tell someone off.

Angie, sister - Hufflepuff, minus that hardwork thing. She's a lazy Hufflepuff. ^_^ When it comes to interacting with people, or getting something done that will benefit someone she's close to... she's one of the most ambitious people I know. But when it comes to herself, she's... lazy. lol. She's one of those people that you meet once and then call up three years later when everything in your life goes wrong. She's also one of the sweetest most patient people I know. But... like a true Hufflepuff, when you piss her off, it's best to make up and get out of her way fast.

Morgan, brother - He's only five, however, based on what I've seen from him. .. He's going to be a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. He's an annoying brat most of the time... but... he's smart as a whip, already reading at a third grade level, (taught him myself), fueled by his unending and aggravating curiosity , sweeter than a candy-covered moon, and definitely one of the most respectful five year olds I've ever met. Not to mention, he's loyal to the point of being clingy and honestly, he's the only five year I've ever met that had an ingrained sense of honor.

Friends:
I think my computer is a Hufflepuff... *snickers, is too much of a loner to have many people she'd consider a 'friend', doesn't spend much time with the ones she does consider friends*

oh...this is hard...mmm

mom- sorry to break the hufflepuff streak but i would guess my mom is a total Slytherin...lets say her cunning side plays a big part in this decision.

dad- has to be a Ravenclaw...has all the tendecies smart, witty, likes to be alone, plus he knows so much useless knowledge, plus he's a teacher...plus he reminds me of Professor Flitwick.

Melissa (sis)- definetly a Gryffindor breaks the rules, chivalrous, & much courage.

Mike (bro)- Slytherin very ambitious and has moms cunning side all to much.

Rob (bro)- definetly Gryffindor very brave and noble.

friends:
Ruby: Gryffindor...breaks the rules and has courage
Kat: Gryffindor...very brave♥
Justin: Hufflepuff...eventhough he thinks he's a Slytherin
Eddie: Slytherin...ambitious but reserved.
Jessica: Hufflepuff...hardworker
Jason: Slytherin...ambitious and somewhat cunning.
Leslie: Hufflepuff...loyal and hardworking
April: Gryffindor...breaks rules but is chivalrous.

Hm... this is hard.
Mom- a total Gryffinpuff. She's more of a Gryffindor than a 'Puff though, so I confidently put her with the Gryffs.

Dad- a Slytherin. I'm more sure of that than I'm of anything else. I've never seen a better living example of a true Slytherin.

Grandma- Hufflepuff. She has a lot of Gryffindor in her, but she would never break a rule, no matter how minor and she's very loyal and hard-working.

Me- a Ravenclaw. The only one in the family. I have an enormous amount of Hufflepuff in me (that's the nurture part), but I also have some qualities that definitely make me a Claw.

A couple of my friends:

Ash- A Slytherin. She's smart, nice and ambitious. She's able to talk about anything and everything and is very intellectual. A great friend and a wonderful person.

Erica- I think she's the hardest to sort of anyone I know. I'm gonna go with 'Puff because of her absolute loyalty to her family and things she cares about.

Lucy- Ravenclaw. You'd think that the two of us, both being Ravenclaws, would have a lot to talk about, but we don't. She's incredibly smart, one of the smartest people in our school, and also a "walking encyclopedia". I'm often quiet around her because I don't want to say something stupid and embarrass myself.

Hannah- Hufflepuff. Probably why she gets along with Erica so well.

Rachel- Ravenclaw. We have a lot in common, and she values learning a lot and gets top grades. For example, in chemistry class: me: 95% A, Rachel: 99.9% A.

Arielle- Gryffindor. Very gifted and smart, likes to have fun.

Hmm. This is quite difficult.

Family

Mom - Slytherpuff. Her ambition makes her a definite Slytherin. She does whatever is necessary to accomplish her goals, and won't allow anything or any one to get in her way. On the other hand, she is very loyal to the people she cares about, and tries to be the best friend possible. Many many people turn to her for advice. But the way she gives advice is Slytherin.

Dad - Hufflepuff. Kind and caring, hardworking, loyal, doesn't like conflict at all. He's the perfect example of a Hufflepuff. He's always trying to make people happy, be it in his business, or at home.

Grandma - Gryffindor. No matter what happens, she always manages to get back on her feet and keep going. She values family and loyalty over everything else, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. A lot of people underestimate her abilities to understand and move on.

Friends

Emily - She's driven and motivated, but at the same time incredibly lazy. She's very independent, and tends to lack in loyalty to her friends, due to that independence. I'd probably say she's a Slytherdor, which while they are opposite characteristics, make an interesting combination.
Erika - ([livejournal.com profile] sparkling_mud) Is a fellow HiHer and was sorted into Gryffindor.
Martha - She was sorted into Slytherin almost unanimously here at HiH, but doesn't participate. She sees herself as a Ravenclaw, and to a certain extent, I agree. She has the sharp wit and amazing intellect to be in Ravenclaw, but there's something more there that adds a Slytherin aspect to her personality as well. She's fiercely independent, and isn't the easiest person to get to know. But I love her to death. I'd say a token Slytherclaw.

Beth - A lot of people would disagree with me, but I'd say Slytherin. She has a lot of 'Puff characteristics, but what I see the most in her is her ambition. She knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to do some manipulation (although she doesn't see it as such) to get it.
Nicky - Nicky's very much a Hufflepuff. She's always trying to make people happy, no matter the cost to herself. She works very hard.
Laura - Laura's also a Slytherin. She's ambitious and smart, but she's incredibly manipulative. (She has two friends who I swear remind me exactly of Crabbe and Goyle.)
Jared - Jared's the laziest Ravenclaw I've ever met. He's incredibly smart and has a strong desire to learn, and to teach himself more. But if he doesn't like the subject, forget it. He doesn't see a point in doing it if he doesn't like it, or even if he'd just prefer to do something else. In spite of that, I see him as the biggest Ravenclaw out of all of us, myself included, as I'm a Ravenpuff.

I'll just do some family...
Family
Mom- Gryffindor, definitely. She is the most courageous person I know.
Dad- He's tough...he's a mix of Slytherin and Ravenclaw. He's brilliant but SO ambitious it's crazy. I'd say he's a Slytherin.
Husband- He's a mix of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. He was sorted into Ravenclaw here but I tend to think that he leans closer to the Gryffindor category. Very Noble.
Sister-in-law- She's a mix of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. But all in all I'd put her in Gryffindor also.

I get most of my claw tendancies from my father...but some of it is from my mother too. I've also got some residual Slytherin and Gryffindor qualities.

FAMILY
My Mum is a total SlytherDor, through and through. She is negative and extremely amibitious, which is her Slytherin side, but she is extremely brave and has the firiest temper, which is her Gryffindor side. Overall, I think she is a Gryffindor.

Dad is most definitely a Hufflepuff! He's the most friendly, hard-working, down-to-earth person I know. I tend to get along with him better than I do with my Mum, maybe because she has such a huge temper, but yeah.

My grandma on my mother's side is a Hufflepuff as well. No-one quite knows how my Mother got her temper, because neither of my granparents have one, and my grandma is no exception. She is extremely kind, and also extremely hard-working, volunteering most of her time to charity work. She's a wonderful, friendly person.

My grandfather (who is really my step-grandfather) is COMPLETELY Ravenclaw. He is a lecturer at a University, teaching Chemistry. He is the most intelligent person I know. And it's not just in his area of expertise that he is intelligent. To me, he just seems to know EVERYTHING!

FRIENDS
Bek is a mixture between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. She's very kind and concerned about world issues like poverty and war. But she's brave too. And you know, she's just Gryffindor.

Chloe is a mixture between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. She's extremely intelligent, but not only that, she's hard working, and really tries hard. She's also extremely sweet. Therefore I think she is a hard-working, loyal Hufflepuff!

So basically, out of all the people I was related to, I have no Ravenclaw qualities. So why am I a Ravenclaw? I'm not sure. Somehow I think that the mixture of Hufflepuff, Gryffindor and Slytherin all made me a Ravenclaw. I'm not hard-working, but I don't know. I just know that I am a Ravenclaw, through and through.

That will do for the moment, but that was fun!
