Hogsmeade Weekend Ends!
Hello everyone, I'm officially bringing August's Hogsmeade Weekend to a close. Thank you to everyone for your participation. I enjoyed reading the discussion posts and the survey post! Quite fun, guys!

Here are the winners of our three Hogsmeade Contests:

1. Hogwarts Mottos:
First place: [livejournal.com profile] vixen_of_light with "Hogwarts: Because a Good Education is More Important than Limbs" with 14 votes!
Second place: [livejournal.com profile] tsukinofaerii with "Keeping the world safe from magical teenagers and Weasleys since 1000 AD" and 9 votes
Third place: [livejournal.com profile] esso with "Always poke a sleeping dragon with a big stick - then run!" with 7 votes

Our other participants were: [livejournal.com profile] alonelymiracle, [livejournal.com profile] astronomychica, [livejournal.com profile] eternalslacker, [livejournal.com profile] __megh, [livejournal.com profile] keristars, [livejournal.com profile] nyreak, [livejournal.com profile] chorusgirl

2. House Mascots:
First place: [livejournal.com profile] mystifying_haze with this re-designed Hogwarts shield and 21 points!
Second place: [livejournal.com profile] keristars with this image of the mascots in costume and 18 points
Third place: [livejournal.com profile] tsukinofaerii with this really cool dragon drawing and 3 points.

[livejournal.com profile] mystifying_haze had a second entry, the Hogwarts motto over the house tie images, which earns Slytherin a second set of participation points! (and she gets more knuts! cool!)

3. Hogsmeade Captions:
First place: [livejournal.com profile] tsukinofaerii with "Being transformed into a snowman, Harry decided, was far from the wors tfate Voldemort could have visited upon him. He still spent time with his friends, he no longer had to attend classes, and his hair was better than ever." and 16 votes!
Second place: This was a tie between [livejournal.com profile] vixen_of_light with "Harry's attempt to get Hermione and Ron to get together involved certain sacrifices...!"
and [livejournal.com profile] bloody_frogs with "Ron and Hermione celebrate their freedom together with confetti after successfully Transfiguring Harry into a snowman, thus ending the H/Hrship." They each got 7 votes
Third place: [livejournal.com profile] chorusgirl with "Ron and Hermione flirt casusally by playing in snow.
Harry checks out Hermione's butt. And smiles." and 6 points

Other participants were: [livejournal.com profile] astronomychica, [livejournal.com profile] eternalslacker, [livejournal.com profile] esso, [livejournal.com profile] __megh, [livejournal.com profile] nyreak

Congratulations to everyone! Super cookies to [livejournal.com profile] tsukinofaerii for placing in the top 3 in all the contests! Slytherin must be proud. :D

Also, apologies to those whose entries did not make it into the polls -- they were posted to the submissions post after the poll was put up, thus becoming invalid.

Furthermore, all the applications at [livejournal.com profile] hh_stamping still need votes! We need at least 10 before we can give them the final stamp - that's two and a half people from each house. Let's not leave them waiting too long, please. (Besides, we can't give out the points for stamping until the applications are tallied with a final stamp!)

I will announce all the points and knuts earned this Hogsmeade Weekend once [livejournal.com profile] hh_stamping has been tallied!

love, etc,
Keri

You said that some entries did not make it because it was past the deadline, but I know for a fact that my submission was previous to said cut-off time. You notified us that it was to be 12:01 AM, and the time stamp for my entry was at 4 PM. Lots of time before this poll went up. Gryffindor should still get the participation points.
