Being the ever loving Nascar fan that I am, a Harry Potter/Nascar racing fiction is the stragest I found but one of the funniest.

I like trying out different crossovers, but it's rare to find one that really works. Mostly it's just crack fun. I just spoke a friend into writing Kira/Kira, just because they have the same name... the shinigami from Bleach anime/manga and the killer from Death Note anime/manga. It might actually somewhat work, as shinigami are canon in Death Note, so it can be somewhat tweaked.

I can't think of any Harry Potter crossover that I really liked. I second the part about recs being welcome. :)

Oh man, I've seen TONS of crazy crossovers, mostly curtesy of Pottersues. Let's see... CSI, Law and Order, Naruto, far too many LoTR. I've seen a lion king one too, which was just strange. None of them really worked for me.

I don't really understand the point of crossovers. Well, I can see ones being written for humor because it would be funny to see certain characters interact. But the other, more serious ones, just baffle me. I don't really know why Legolas would be at Hogwarts or why Harry and co would suddenly be detectives investigating sex crimes. It just doesn't make too much sense to me. Plus I haven't seen many that were done well. But yeah, people probably write them just to see their favorite characters interact, despite how many plot holes there may be.

They also had links to Tetris/Harry crossovers..... It made me laugh alot, but really, who crosses over video games with Harry Potter???

And I think the author was being completely serious as well.

You mean you haven't seen Bible fanfiction? There's lots of Jesus/Judas (or Judas/Jesus?) at least, and I've seen at least one God/Devil... check out fanfiction.net, I think they have a section for the Bible in the books. XD

In a quest to refind the Final Fantasy crossover I mentioned, I found many other quite special crossovers with Ninja Turtles 2003, Vampire: Masquerade: Bloodlines, Buffy, Farscape, Charmed, the OC, and the DaVinci Code. I haven't actually READ any of them as I'm not too familiar with those fandoms but I just thought I'd share. You know, I really don't know how people come up with these ideas.

its a once in a lifetime chance to pair your two favs together and not get in trouble. I've always wanted to pair a few of my favs together. It would be interesting to combine two dif plots and see the end result.

I kind of avoid reading Crossovers. XD I don't really get around much, when it comes to fandoms, so I am usually clueless. I never know as much about the fandom being crossed with HP, so I get confused.

So unless someone crossed HP and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Rocky Horror Picture Show or something... XDD

Haven't you read the Rocky Horror crossovers? There are at least two or three, with Snape usually as Frank'n'Furter. I can't remember what the Snarry one was called, but I might be able to find one... I'll check.

I couldn't find a working link. Anyway, it's called "Smile, and That Will Mean I May" by Aspen (or tasukichiriko). HP characters go to watch Rocky Horror and dress up accordingly, with Harry as Brad and Draco as Janet, Seamus as what's-his-name creation, Ron as Riff Raff, twins and transylvanians etc. And Snape as Frank, naturally.

Crossovers are my guilty pleasure. I ADORE them when they're well done. The problem is when they're not. >> The best crossover I've ever read was Parallel by Stormy - which has sadly been discontinued. It was a "Heero is really Harry!" fic, and she managed this seeming impossibility BRILLIANTLY. The characterization was spot-on, the story fascinating... I was so sad to see it die.

The stranges cross-over I've ever seen was actually a collaberation a friend and I did for kicks. Dragon Ball Z. x.x It was... freakish? Terrible at the very least. Vegeta has no place in a castle full of annoying children...

I have an interesting quirk in some of my (in progress) fics. I tend to adopt the Hogwarts Squid as a character. I have named him Squishie, and he likes to play sailor. It's... well, unique, but he's a riot to write. I wish I could get one of those fics finished... They're pure crack to write, I imagine other people would like them too.

i actually love crossovers. and i seem to find rather well written ones. but then my other fandoms seem to go rather well with hp.

ive read [and liked] anita blake, supernatural, & stargate: atlantis crossovers but most of the buffy ones suck. strangely enough ive read a couple buffy/anita blake crossovers that werent too bad.

im interested in crossovers when i get burnt out just reading straight hp fic. i just want something different that hasnt been done a million times with different character names thrown in.

That's the reason why I like to try out crossovers, too, but haven't really found much interesting stuff. So, I usually go with interesting-seeming AUs.
