Honeydukes & Zonko's
Hi!

Halloween recently passed, and I'm still kind of going about eating leftover candy. (Which, I suppose isn't a good idea considering I just recovered from a stomach virus...but it is so hard to resist. ^^;;) At any rate, the stories about Honeydukes and Zonko's Joke Shop were probably my favorite parts in the books. They were always vivid and lively, and I sometimes dreamed about what possible kinds of items could be there besides the ones described!

So, here's something I thought would be fun. Do you have an imaginary candy that you'd think would be at Honeydukes? A prank or toy at Zonko's? What would it be like? What would it be called? If you want, you can even post pictures or doodles of anything you can dream of. :D

A levitating-type candy that will make you fly for a period of time. That would be awesome.

As long as it doesn't make you fly too high... or you need to keep on eating them to avoid a painful landing.

Ahaha~ Do you still have those? I always wondered if they tasted okay, but it was the concept that amused me most! One day I will discover that cure-all. One day!! That's why I'm going for pharmacy, you know. To create that all-curing pill candy and become your drug dealer. XD

It’s not what you were asking, but it is related to the topic of Honeydukes. If people ever go to NYC then they must check out Dylan’s Candy Bar. I went there the last time I visited the city and wow, one of my first reactions was comparing it to Honeydukes. Some friends and I had originally gone in there for ice cream, but we ended up spending a good long time in there looking at the two floors of candy.

Two floors of candy goodness! :9

I love all the colors, especially the peppermint stools. The flooring is so fun, too, including the stairs!

Was it kind of a little eatery alongside being a shop? It would be really neat to have little things like rootbeer floats or something in there. :)

Well the ice cream parlour part was right in front. You see in that first picture, in the distance you can see the counter straight ahead and then you go over and sit on the peppermint stools. And then everything else is candy candy candy candy...

Oh wow! Yeah, I can see why kids would consider a place like that to be heaven!

They should have mints that keep you cool in summer and cinnamon pops that keep you warm in winter. Practical and delicious.

Ooh, I'd buy them! Especially the mints, as heat really is not my thing.
