Go Fug Yourself, Harry Potter style
So [livejournal.com profile] luxleviathana just inadvertantly reminded me of something when she posted a few posts down, from her icon. (Which is hilarious, BTW)

I'm really sorry if this has been discussed before, but I went and looked back through the last two Hogsmeades as well as this one and I didn't see it, so here goes! I originally posted this in my own lj a few months ago, and it's just kind of a fun little thing.

So, have any of you ever gone to Go Fug Yourself? It's created by two of the recappers on Television Without Pity (also a brilliantly hilarious site) that makes fun of celebrities and their outfits/hair/makeup/etc. It's so hilarious, that I've read some of their entries so many times I could practically quote them verbatim, but they STILL make me laugh.

But anyway, how is this related to Harry Potter, you ask? Well, The Fug Girls (the women who run the site) have fugged our little Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint in the past, and they are PRICELESS. I'm going to link you to all of them in the order I think is the most entertaining. ;o) (Which means they are actually out of chronological order.)

Anyway, first go here.

It's a fugging of Emma Watson that is vastly amusing.

Next click on this one.

It's a fugging of Rupert Grint and his alter ego, Ron, and concerning his GoF hair. Also highly entertaining.

Next up is this one.

It's of Emma Watson at a GoF premiere, and recalls some of the jokes from the fugging of Rupert Grint that I linked to above, so read that one first. ;o)

Last is this piece of brilliance, where [livejournal.com profile] luxleviathana got her icon idea from. (I think. That would be really freaky if it was from somewhere else.

It's actually of all three of the trio at the premiere for Prisoner of Azkaban (hence the "they're out of chronological order" comment I made above) but it is so, so funny that you have to read it last, or you won't enjoy the rest as much. God, it's making me giggle just thinking about it.

Because the icon started it all, but the icon wasn't on topic anyway. XD

It is indeed hilarious. I have wasted away many an hour there. The Britney Spears ones are particularly priceless. But you should read her link bottom to top, since it has running gags in them for maximum amusement.

Ooh, there's Britney? Must check it out! XD

Oh yeah, I think the Britney ones are the best! On the left side there are links to frequent Fug offenders (Sienna Miller, the Duff sisters, the Hilton sisters, Tara Reid, Jennifer Lopez, etc etc) and Britney is one of them. But seriously, read any of those links bottom to top, cause they are much funnier that way.

Well, don't *I* feel like an ass. I guess they got that idea from that song. Heh. I'm glad you found the site funny, though. ;o)

That's damn hilarious! Although I have to say that I preferred Rupert with longish hair.

...and I forgot to say that when I first saw Emma's dress a while back I was all OMG WTF is that. Damn. *shakes head*

Hee. The shoelace headband is what gets me. That, and that last horrible outfit she is wearing. It's godawful.

[identity profile] delfeus.livejournal.com on November 7th, 2006 05:29 am (UTC)
I don't really mind the headband that much, but the dress with the flowers is awful! Ugh!

The dress was bad, but I still can't get over that last horrible...THING she was wearing. It was so...blindingly monstrous. She really did look like she was going to burst into tears.

DID you? I thought sometimes it was alright...and sometimes it was horrifying. What do you feel about Dan with long hair? I personally like his PoA hair the best.

I'm a supporter of long hair on all people, so... I liked the GoF versions, the twins, too, etc. They looked nice and less like kids... although the latter may not be good when playing kids.

Ah, see, despite my Hanson obsession, I think only certain guys can pull of the long hair look. The Phelps twins look so much better with their real haircolor, IMO.

And I agree with your long hair support on girls. Almost all girls look better with long hair. ;o)

I think that there are only a few who can't! XD And I like some girls with short hair a lot, as it's different. My friend has very short hair, only a few millimeters, and it suits her, as she has a beautiful skull shape and face... when she had longer dark hair she looked like Winona Ryder, so that should give an idea. :) As she has a very personal style in clothing, with lots of colors etc, it looks really nice.

Oh yeah, they are girls who look awesome with short hair! I agree. Natalie Portman with a shaved head? HOT. (But on her anyway, I still preferred her longer hair.) My (sort of ex)best friend looks much better with shorter hair as well.

If they guys all like, GROOMED their hair at least a little, it wouldn't be so bad. But they're all nasty and oily and *shudders*

"However, Emma Watson clearly needs a Ginny Weasley in her life, because nobody's BFF would let them leave the house in this:"

I LOLed so hard at that one.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. ;o) I especially liked the part about her being dragged out of her closet by her hair screaming about Rupert and the Monkees.

Heh, yes they were. Not even in general really...but with that dress?! So bad. So very, very bad. Which is weird, Cause I've seen Emma look so very pretty sometimes in her clothing choices.
