hh_sugarquill! I come bearing special, Valentine - themed, Hogsmeade-only Sugarquill challenges. And since you only have a little time to write/create your entries, you will be earning 10 bonus points and five knuts per entry. Before, a challenge fic was worth 15 points, a challenge Hogsmeade fic is worth 25. And so on and so forth down the line, an additional ten points for every entry.
Hogsmeade Valentine’s Challenges
Fic Challenge
Subject: Lockhart’s Valentines
Scenario: Write about Lockhart receiving some of his many valentines from "Chamber of Secrets". (Be sure to include some of these valentines.)
Genre: Comedy
Words: Minimum 501
Ficlet Challenge
Subject: Snape and a Student
Scenario: A student takes up Lockhart’s offer of asking Snape advice on how to brew a love potion.
Genre: Comedy
Words: 101-500
Drabble Challenge
Subject: Unrequited Love
Scenario: Write about any character’s feelings of unrequited love for another.
Genre: Angst
Word Count: 100 (If you go a few words over or under, it’s not the end of the world.)
Poetry Challenge
Subject: Filch and Madam Pince
Scenario: Write a love poem from either Filch to Madam Pince or Madam Pince to Filch, can be serious or humorous.
Genre: Any
Words: Minimum 100 words
Style of poetry: Any
FanArt Challenge:
Subject: Depict your personal OTP on Valentine’s Day
Genre: Any
Medium: Any (Points given will be based on the medium chosen by the artist)
The rules are going to be slightly altered from what regular Sugarquill members know. Reply to this post with your entry (but please keep to the posting template outlined in the Sugarquill userinfo.) If you are entering the ficlet, drabble, or poetry challenge you can reply to this post with the whole entry, but if you are replying to the fic or art challenge please use a link. (You can link to your own lj, or to Sugarquill, for example.)
