I think I could. As an actor Dan takes on the role he is acting/portraying. So yes I think I could still see him as Harry.

How about his performance in Extras? Has anyone seen Extras? HBO series? Ricky Gervais? PLEASE I watch it partly for Gervais and partly for the gueststars making such fun of themselves and I LOVED DANIEL RADCLIFFES IT WAS FANTASTIC! Orlando Bloom's was very fitting too.

I think maybe this could help me see him as Harry Potter even more. He's been getting amazing reviews, and I really hope his new found kick-bum acting skills will spill over into Harry Potter. *crosses fingers*

I personally have been completely traumatized by the mere suggestion of Dan Radcliffe's naughty bits. Sorry, girls (and guys?), but I don't see the OMGhotness.

I hope he pulls it off, but I don't think the HP movies have convinced me of Dan's amazing acting skills either. He was hilarious on Extras, though, I will give him that.

Like, he was in... Oh I think it was Nicholas Nickleby or one PBS production like it, when he was younger. I mean he did it well, but in retrospect it was kind of harry. All rags to riches and the like.

I think it would be hard for me to get the Alan Strang role out of my head when I see him in Harry Potter but I'll get over it eventually. It's not really all of that different from what other actors do. I will though me scarred for life if I see any of his naughty bits but that's not going to happen so I think I'm safe. In any event, I'm not sure I COULD watch him in Equus because that's one of my favorite plays and HP just hasn't convinced me that he could pull off the role but kudos to him for giving such a difficult role a try.

Someone on my friends list saw the show this weekend and said that Dan was pretty amazing. His acting skills were up to the challenge and has been receiving rav reviews.

My whole take on this is:

1. He's an actor taking on a new role, just as Harry Potter was a role. Neither is Dan Radcliff.
2. Those who take the whole "but he's just a little boy!" outlook. Well actually he is a young man and he's not the child who appeared in Sorcerer's Stone.
3. I think the chances of getting any kind of camera in the theater is slim to none. They do know the fan mentality they are up against and I would not doubt if any type of cameras, including camera phones are being confiscated if they are not checked at the coat room.
