Thought I'd ask...
How long has it taken you to read the books?

For me, I don't remember how long it took me to read the first four.  For book 5, I got it on the day it came out - I read pretty much non-stop from 9 am to 11 pm.

For book 6, I read from about 10 am to about 7 pm on the release date.

The first 5 books were kind of like a big blah for me. The fifth one I really didn't care about until people kept on talking about it, so I just knicked it from a friend... It took me like 3 months to read because Harry was being such a baby!

But reading it the second time around, OotP was alot better. I probably hated back then because I was equally angst ridden and was like 'Not even HP understands me'. Ugh. I dunno.

HBP... 4 days, because I worked, and got side tracked oggling at this pretty guy at work all the time when I was trying to read of break.

Book 5 I read in one night.

The other 4 I read prolly in a day. I'm a speed reader.

The first three I read within a few days.
The fourth, I actually read half and got busy for a few months, then one summer I picked it up, went to my grandmother's, sat on her screened in porch and read it cover to cover.
The fifth took me less than a day, as did the sixth. I got them both at midnight and slept very little. Ate very little. It was always "after this chapter, I'll go use the bathroom. After the next ten pages, I'll go eat something." Never happened. It was like the book was fused to my hand. I finished the sixth one on my pull-out couch and actually shouted "Oh my God WHAT?!" when you-know-who did you-know-what to you-know-who. I am so cryptic.

Takes me about half a week to read each of the books. That is pretty damn fast for me because normally it takes close to 2 or 3 months to read a book half the size of the Harry Potter ones.

For 4&5 I read them in 2 days while working day camp (poor kids got no attention at all those days) and book 6 took me 22 hours while sleeping, cleaning, and going out to see a friend who was moving.

I honestly don't remember how long it took me to read the first three. GoF and OotP took me longer to read because we went on vacation the day both came out.

For HBP, I got it at the midnight release and then read until about 2. On Saturday, I read from 12-5 and then finished the last little bit on Sunday.

GoF - I was only seven at the time and literally have NO IDEA how long it took...

but for OotP - I read solidly from 9am til 11(?)pm - with a three hour break for ballet - then I read for half an hour the next morning and finished it.

HBP - I read from 9am til 6ish - with a four hour break...

I remember ringing my best friend up in tears, and she hadn't finished yet.... and my sister had forbidden me to tell her what happened... that was not a nice evening... D:

Takes me about a week to read one of the books. I'm a bed time reader, so a couple chapters before bed. I've read 1-3 more times than I can count. Just finished reading all of them again. I'm thinking of re-reading 4-6 since those were the ones that remembered the least of while I read them.
