On the same lines as [livejournal.com profile] sunflower_pixie's post, what do you think your parents houses would be? What would their hybrid houses be? What would they have been like at Hogwarts had they been able to go? What about the rest of your family?

My dad would definitely be a Hufflepuff with a bunch of Ravenclaw in him, but he would be one of those goofy fun guys. My mom would be a Ravenclaw with a bunch of Slyth and Puff, but would be the straight O quiet student who parties with her friends on the weekend.

My brothers would be: Slytherin/Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff in order of birth or what not.

My moms house would probably be Ravenclaw with a splash of Slytherin actually. She is a very smart person and very witty with a bit of Sly traits as well. As for my pops he is a Gryffindor all the way! He is a retired Police Sergent and one of his greatest traits I think is his bravery which is such a Gryff trait.

Then my husband is definitly a Gryffindor with splashes of Hufflepuff (though we all know this ;X)

Hmm our mom's sound very similar! Oh and that's so cool about your dad! I'm sure he would be a Gryff with that bravery and dedicated to the Police.

Haha true, true, but it's all the more fun to hear ;D

Dad: Gryffindor. He'd be one of those goofy guys too.
Mom: I don't want her at Hogswarts. Noo. I'd vote her muggle. Heh. No, um...Slytherin, actually. I don't know how she'd be...
Brother: Gryffindor...another goofy guy.
Grandmother: Ravenclaw. She'd be the stereotypical Ravenclaw with all of her reading and being smart and stuff. She'd be cool and very witty too though. Yeah, she'd be a cool Ravenclaw. (And I had to put her in this, because I need more Eagles in my family.)

Aren't mom's just the toughest? Soo hard to think about.

Awww Grandma! She sounds super cool and cute. That's awesome that you would both be Ravenclaws.

My dad would be a Ravenclaw well maybe Slytherin, so Slytherclaw. He's kind of a jock so he'd probably be a bit of a jerk. Not that my dad's a jerk. My mom would be a Gryffinpuff. She's just sweet and super crafty.

My brothers are twins and one's a Slytherin well, maybe Slytherdor, and the others def a Ravendor.

Oh no I totally get it. My brother's a jock and even though I wouldn't call him a jerk...they do have that ego when they're in school.

YAY FOR TWINS! Mine are too. That would be an interesting combo to have as brothers.

My mum is a GryffinROAR with a Puff's work ethic. She's much too outspoken and opinionated to be a full 'Puff, though. She doesn't mind offending people if she believes she's in the right.

As for dad...he'd be in whichever house Vernon Dursley would be in if he were a wizard, LOL. Nah, he's not that bad...ahem. He's got some 'Claw in him because he questions everything and he enjoys learning about strange, random things. However, he's WAAAY too close-minded to be in Ravenclaw. He has that Gryffish "my opinions are FACT" mindset, lol. So...I think he may have to be a Gryff after all.

I don't have any siblings, so I'll do a set of grandparents. My paternal grandfather is very much a Hufflepuff. He's the epitome of patience and understanding, heh. My grandmother's definately a Ravenclaw like me! She's always reading up on her favorite historical periods and she's just generally a curious person.

My mom is a hardcore Gryffindor (ready to head into anything, fights for what she believes in), and my dad is probably a Ravenclaw (LOVES useless facts, likes to teach you how to do EVERYTHING with full on descriptions and drawings -OVER EXPLAINS//ANALYZES ALL SITUATIONS). I'd call both of them Ravendor's. :D And that's why I am how I am.

My step-mom would be a Hufflepuff and my step-dad would be a Gryffindor as well.

As a young man...my father would have been a Gryffindor. He's Hufflepuff NOW, but at school age? Gryffindor. He would have been...probably a lot like James Potter.

My mom would have been Ravenclaw as a student, I think, though now...now, I think she'd be a MUGGLE and not in a house. At Hogwarts...she would have been like Hermione, most likely. It's easier to say WHO my parents would be like, than to try to describe them.

My son would be a Hufflepuff with a lot of Gryffindor in him.

Oh...good point! I almost forgot about that whole they are different now sort of thing. *headdesks*

Describing is the hardest part. You just know what your parents are like.

HAHAHA that's so cute!! Oh my god I would love to do that with my mom/dad.

Your older brother sounds a lot like my younger brother, which would probably change what he is now lol.

I find it hard to place my parents. I think my mother may be a bit of a Gryffinpuff, similar to myself, whereas my Dad is more Ravenclaw.

I have a very Ravenclaw brother and sister who are both very logical and like to look at things in different ways and then one other brother who is so Gryffindor it hurts. He's brave, chivalrous and incredibly rash

Hmmm maybe it's just harder because our parents have grown up? It seems everyone seems to have some problems with it.

Maybe with siblings it's easier because they are younger and so things are more black/white for them. And we're still not exactly the most knowledgeable in life experiences.

My mother got sorted on this LJ community to Ravenclaw. :) It's fits her well. My dad would be a Slytherin.. His personality is a lot like mine.

My mom is definitely a Hufflepuff with a side of Ravenclaw. As for my other family members I don't really know. I could see my Grandpa being in either Gryffindor or Slytherin, My grandma in Slytherin, and My aunt in either Hufflepuff or Gryffindor

My mom would be a Ravenclaw. She loves reading and learning as much as she can. We are quite similar. And my dad..uhm..probably a Slytherpuff. Yeah. We have some Slytherin traits in common.

My mother is absolutely a Gryffindor. Through and through, even all the in-your-face, slightly too-self-involved bits (No offense to you other Gryffs, I have some of it in me as well).

My father is a Slytherin with the tiniest drop of Gryffindor. He's manipulative, sly, self-preservative, and has a drop of Gryffindor boldness.

My 16-year-old sister is a Slytherdor. She's outspoken, bold, hilarious, loudmouthed, and all that, then she has this part of her that is really devious and cunning.

My 12-year-old brother is a 'Puff to the utmost: loyal, caring, sweet as pie (not to say you 'Puffs don't have you're rough-and-tumble sides), has a Gryffindor tendency to be tempermental, though.

My father is pure Gryffindor. He's headstrong, brash, holier-than-thou, reckless and superficially noble. Honestly, he embodies most of the negative traits with very few of the positive.

Mom is a Hufflepuff. She's loyal beyond belief, and will work herself to the bone for people she loves. She'll also give up anything in her power to make sure those people are happy.

My brother is... odd. Off the top of my head he's Gryffindor, because he's as reckless and brave as my father. However, he has some deeper tendencies towards philosophical topics that makes me think Claw. GryffinClaw, I think.

I think my mom is a Gryffindor mixed with a little of Slytherin. She's always the one going on about standing up for yourself and being more assertive. However, I said a little Slytherin because there's a little cunning mixed into it.

My dad...is a Gryffindor gone wrong, lol.

My younger brother is a squibGryffindor. He's always the center of attraction, being naturally outgoing. He also likes pushing the limits just for the fun of it.

For my younger sister, I think she's a Slytherin. She can pretend to be as naive as she likes, but she's actually really street smart and she doesn't fight over the things that don't really matter. She has a Gryffindorish temper, though.

Mum would be a total Gryffindor. Nan would be the same, actually, nan might have been a ravenclaw, all she did as a kid was read read read, loved learning things, loved informaiton. She still does, it's why we get on so well. Mum's a bit more artsy, a bit more willing to have an adventure. She moved to another country on a whim. But she's really protective of her friends and family. So yes.
