You know, to me the first cover looks like the caped person (is that voldemort?) is helping harry or assisting him with something? Because his hand doesnt seem to be pointed at Hary but off in the same direction as Harrys Hand. As for teh cover with the trio it kind of reminds me of Aladdin when they are escaping the cave of wonders. And because of that I dont know what to think about what it is supposed to mean.

The adult version usually seems to have one object that is slightly important to the book. Like HBP has Snape's potions book. So it leads you to think that the locket is going to be rather more important than everyone thought before.

what is the last photo from?

Umm I believe it is a delux photo. I found them all at the leaky Cauldron. It didn't really have captions, but its file name was books_covers_us_deluxed_dh_1, and I think I saw it before so I am thinking it is the delux US cover.

I think that maybe the Slytherin locket is the final or final to one horcrux that has to be destroyed, or someone has it with him/her and that person has to join up with Harry to finish Voldemort off.

The UK childrens cover looks to me like they're being sucked into a gringotts vault. Didnt Hagrid say in the 1st book that if someone who isnt a goblin tries to unlock a vault they will be sucked in and locked in there?

I'm glad someone asked this ... while I was getting ready for brunch this morning, I had the idea that the dragon is actually someone's animagus form. I just don't know who - it would be too obvious if it were Draco, but it is possible.
