Scenario: A few days before the book comes out, you go into a bookstore and immediately see a little huddle of people in the corner, you go over and realize that they are surrounding another book seller who is holding the 7th Harry Potter book in his hands. He/She says that one of you can have it, but you need to do _______.

How much crazy stuff would you to get the book? Where would be the point where it's not worth it any more?

nothing. i would wait for the book.
because knowing from working at a book store you can get fined big bucks for something like that and I wouldnt want to be caught. I remember when we got book 5 we had them in the backroom in boxes you couldnt see through or open until the day the book was to be out. And if you opened it and someone from the company came you were in so much trouble! THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.

That is just me though. lol.

Well, HBP was the first one I was into the series for (I actually got into them the week OotP came out in paperback in the US), and I didn't go to a party then, so this will be my first (and unfortunately last!) time doing so. But I'm going with one of my friends and we're both dressing up (well, she's wearing robes and I'm wearing a specially-made DH t-shirt I designed and my Hufflepuff scarf and Prefect badge), so it should be exciting!

I'm not a super die-hard fan, so I'll probably let them fight it out. I always can wait a few days, or weeks. No biggie. The book is probably fake anyways.
