The Order was planning on having a Scavenger Hunt the week before this but if its okay we will do it the weekend of Hogsmeade. There will be clues throughout different sub-committies and then a final clue on a post somewhere. If that sounds okay we will host it during that weekend instead.

Also I can run a special Text Contest for that weekend only. A Term 9 Hogsmeade slogan maybe? What do you think?

Hey Mr. Man,

I am responsible for writing the Hogsmeade article for the Daily Prophet and I was wondering if you had any tidbits you'd like to share about the weekend - how it's going to work, contests planned, etc. I know it's late - but if at all possible, I would love to have something to put in today. At the very least I'll be putting the dates up. Also - are shop owners going to be allowed to offer special Hogsmeade merchandise like we did last time?

I've never done a hogsmeade weekend, so bare with me. I'm club leader of Owl Post Secret, so I am supposed to set forth a contests for the Hogsmeade Weekend? That's what I gather. Do you approve them?

How about a secret for any character about their embarrassing and/or scandalous Hogsmeade venture?

I'd like to do an activity for Music Club. I think it would be fun to do a Battle of the Bands. People can partner up or go solo. They would submit Harry Potter-related lyrics, and then Hogsmeade participants could vote on their favorite song.

What do you think?

Ok. So...how do I go about doing this? Is there a form I fill out? Do people have to be members of Music Club to join? If so, do I submit points to you or to the Clubs mod?

I was assuming that you were the Mod of the Music Club. The activity is done in the clubs community as a part of Hogsmeade Weekends. I still think this is a great idea and would love to see it happen. Contact the Music Clubs mod t osee about doing it.

I am the Music Club leader. =) I've just never been to a Hogsmeade Weekend before and wasn't sure of procedure.

Honestly, I've only been to 2 Hogsmeade myself and I'm fairly flying by the seat of my pants, but it's gonna happen somehow :-)

So you would do the activity in the clubs community, but make a big announcement with a link to it in Hogsmeade Weekends. You will handle the points for that as you would for any Music Club activity.

There will be participation banners for all Hogmeade Weekend activities. Let me know if you want to make one for your activity or if you want me to handle it. I'll be coming up with banner specs so that they work as a group.

Hmmm. Having Hogsmeade stuff in the clubs comm might get confusing. Last time we just had everything in Hogsmeade and that way everything was centralized and easily accessible - people didn't have to go to multiple comms to participate.

Wasn't aware that it was done that way, but I do think it sounds like a better way of doing it. Just remember it being done the other way previously. But I agree, centralized is better.

Thanks for your input on this. It is both welcomed and appreciated. I'll be doing a post H.W. post when I get home from work to bring everyone up to speed. Also, if you didn't see the post at Flourish, the mod there is going with a weekend special for the shops like last time.

Hey there - I was just wondering if we are going to have shops making Hogsmeade sigtags/icons this time? It'd be great to know ahead of time so that shop owners can get started on ideas. :)

Not sure how this was done? I don't remember doing it when I had a shop and I missed the last Hogsmeade because I moved that week and didn't have internet.

So do the shop owners just add Hogsmeade items to their line of offerings? Were bonus points given for making Hogmeade items or just regular points? I'm all for anything that gets people involved, just not sure of the specifics.

Very cool! And that was the Hogmeade that I missed because I had moved and didn't have internet (::sad face fore me:: LOL!)
