Belle and the Beast. (In my head, they totally still have a turbulent relationship after they get married, the prince - Adam lol lame XD - being irrational and losing his temper at stupid crap and Belle telling him off and them arguing all the time. I can totally see Lumiere and Mrs. Potts exchanging glances at the sounds of them shouting at each other and something smashes and Lumiere's just like "Ah. Domestic bliss. :|")

I also love Aladdin and Jasmine. You can tell I like the feisty relationships (with the smart women). XD

BONUS. What story (fable, myth, book, etc) do you really wish would be made into a Disney film?
For a while I'd wished that Disney would do Puss in Boots, but now I guess Shrek's cornered the market on that one. The Twelve Dancing Princesses could also be fun, but I'm not sure how easily they'd implement it.. BUT what I REALLY would love to see is this old Irish myth, the Pursuit of Diarmuid and Gráinne (wow it even has a wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pursuit_of_Diarmuid_and_Gr%C3%A1inne) XD). Basically this gorgeous princess is engaged to the king (Fionn MacCool, best name ever). The king has this friend named Diarmuid who has a magical spot on his forehead that makes every woman who sees it fall in love with him. He's sick and tired of it, so he keeps his bangs long to hide it. However, the night of the king's wedding, a wind brushes his bangs off his face, Grainne (the princess) sees the spot and falls in love with him.. so that night she DRUGS ALL THE WEDDING GUESTS AND KIDNAPS HIM. XD I find the whole premise hilarious.

They have all these adventures, with Diarmuid trying to get away and return her to the king and the king pursuing them and her trying to keep them on the run. It ends differently, but usually Diarmuid falls in love with her back and some outside force convinces the king to let the young lovers be. I think Disneyfied it could go two ways - either Diarmuid falls for her but cures the spell and gives her up back to her husband (who she really DID love), or she really didn't want to marry the king and her and Diarmuid live happily ever after. I just think it would make such an adorable film. XD (Best myth moment: When she gets abducted by a river monster, and Diarmuid has to fight it off, and at the end of the ordeal she's just like "WELL, AT LEAST SOMETHING WANTED TO TOUCH ME." XDDDD)

(ohnoes, do I really have to make a choice? It would be far easier to write about the ones I don't like, because that list is pretty small.)
I would say, the Lion King. I started to love this movie the first time I say it as a kid and ever since. I even went to Hamburg to see the fantastic Musical. I don't know why it helds so a special place in my heart, but the story has so many profound aspects and the soundtracks simly rocks (in every language)

Esmeralda (Hunchback of Notre Dame) & Meg (Hercules) - they're no princess and went through hard times, still they found love. <33 aww

Chief from The Fox and the Hound (gosh, he's scary!) Scar from the Lion King for his evil plotting and Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame for his..uhm..lust? Its irritating!

I would love to see another ancient myth, like Hercules. I'm terrible tired of the technical vibe right now....Cars, Computers...I really wish they would bring back the good old times, though it's impossible. And, of course, Disney always hold up .. uhm..'genres' for some time. All the Princess movies, then the 'speaking animal' ones and now the technical ones.

D'aw I love Esmerelda and Meg too. Meg never gets enough love, and she's so awesome. XD And ughhh oh man Frollo creeps the hell out of me. XD And I totally didn't get until just RECENTLY I swear that they'd shifted him to being a civil servant instead of a priest so I was always double-horrified. XD (As I canonically should have been, I guess. XD)

And I agree, I can't believe they did crap like "Home on the Range" when they still have about a billion myths to use. :( I mean, they still have a billion EUROPEAN myths to use, nevermind myths from other cultures. Sigh.

Oh goodness, there are so many good ones that would make such wonderful Disney movies. So I'll just list the ones I would most like to see them work with, all of which are fairly classic fairytales:
East of the Sun and West of the Moon (probably some variant thereof without the Christian influences, akin to the Polar Bear King, because I <3 that movie);
The Twelve Dancing Princesses;
Allerleirauh/All-Kinds-of-Fur/The Many-furred Creature (though obviously removing the 'father wishing to marry daughter/adoptive daughter' element, as it does not suit Disney, but I'm sure that they could find an excuse for her to run); or
Bearskin (though how they'll make that one Disney appropriate I'll never know).
