What: Design a Spiffy new candy for Honeydukes Sweetshop

Medium: Write a 200 word max description of your candy. Try to answer these things so that we know about your candy: describe its flavor, texture and appearance. What magical effects does it have? Are there any special ingredients that cause those effects?

Entry 1
Language Berries (aka language barrier) are small, nuggets of fruitiness. Each one tastes like a different berry (strawberry, blueberry, apple berry, rainbow berry, mary sue berry etc.), and each one is a different color. They are chewy and soft. Each candy provides the one who ingested it with two hours worth of speaking another language fluently. For example, the Marry Sue Berry (gold and pink with sparkles) will give you two hours of speaking like this: ‘OMG. I am so totally not the best, but everyone loves me right? I mean, I have flaws, but I’m still prefect somehow. You totally can’t be jealous because that would be, like, uncool, and you can’t be uncool around me!’. Each box contains ten of these nuggets (colors and languages may vary), and Honeydukes can not be held responsible for any trouble Language Berries land you in.


Entry 2
The candy is a thick rainbow colored chewy rope. When the consumer bites it, with each bite they get every flavor imaginable of candy. This rainbow doesn't have the typical red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, but other shades in between. Other shades, or shades such as brown and tan represent different types of chocolate, while the color similar to black is a soda flavor. If the consumer would like to repeat a flavor, they just keep chewing on that area of the rope. The wonder of these flavor sections is that the section regenerates where the consumer bit it, so the consumer can focus on one flavor again and again if they would like. This rope is about 3' long and 1" thick. There is the element much like what's used in transfiguration, to have the rope regenerate. When the consumer eats the candy, all of their worries and thoughts go away, and care-free thoughts of childhood are replaced. This rainbow candy is quite the treat and will always leave you smiling.


Entry3
This candy may look like just a regular old lollipop each having a different color of the rainbow, but it is more than that. This lollipop tastes just like a non- magical lollipop with flavors such strawberry, cherry, blue raspberry, grape, sour apple, watermelon, etc...
The thing is that no matter what flavor you start out with, you will get every flavor that is made for these lollipops. It’s not exactly Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans where each one is a different flavor because you only have to buy one lollipop to taste all the flavors. Although there are not as many flavors to choose from it can still satisfy any sweet tooth. That's what makes it so amazing.
The thing that I can’t tell you is the ingredient that makes this lollipop so amazing because I…well…because I stole the ingredients list from Willy Wonka (he is a Muggle who thought that it wouldn’t work but it did, all you need is a little magic)…and I have seemed to have misplaced it, but when I find it I’ll be sure to tell you :D


Entry 4
A strawberry and lime flavoured lollipop shaped like a heart. It looks simple enough, however... one of the ingredients is ashwinder eggs - an ingredient commonly used in love potions. It also has the same smell sensation caused by Amortentia Potion - you smell whatever you find more appealing and attractive.

Entry 6
thinning Gummyworms. This look like your usual muggle gummyworms with the difference that instead of making you fat and get you holes in the teeth, they help you get down to your ideal medical weight and whiten your teeth. This is because they are filled with "perfect-me" potion, a especiality from the Weasleys twins' shop, instead of fruit juice and kilos os sugar.


Entry 7
The Sing-Along Bon-Bon is a Belgian creation, for it's chocolate is rich and it's filled with a potion that tastes like apple, honey and cinnamon. First created to cheat in the Wizarding Song festivals and later introduced to the market. Eating one singe Sing-Along Bon-Bon will cause the eater to sing extremely well even tho they naturally do not posses any talent for it. It gives you a momentary sense of rhythm and makes it that your voice is in tune for every song. The potion causing this is actually a simple variation of the well known Pepperup-Potion. But instead of the large amount of chili-peper and wasabi that determines the strength of the potion, we added some calming substances that applies to the vocal cords and make the taste a lot pleasanter. The Sing-Along Bon-Bon looks like any other Bon-Bon, were it not for the constantly swirling colors on top of purple and blue.


Entry 8
This new candy is shaped like an Arrow, Cupid's Arrow to be exact. It comes in 3 flavours; blueberry, cherry and lemon. No more boring strawberry! It has a secret ingredient/potion that makes one confess his/her true feelings if eaten! Armortentia is one of these ingredients, but we can't tell you any more! A great way to see if your crush returns your affections!


Entry 9
Euphoria Chocolate Drops are the new candy available at Honeydukes this Hogsmeade Weekend. The small, almost quarter size chocolate pieces are individually wrapped and only sold one to a customer. When you put this luscious chocolate in your mouth you instantly find yourself sitting in a boat of chocolate floating down a river of chocolate. You are to leave the candy whole, and as the pure chocolate melts on your tongue you feel total chocolate euphoria. These candies were inspired by the Muggle movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and are only at Honeydukes for a limited time.


Entry 10
Name: Lovers' Delight
The Lovers' Delight is -at first sight- a rather simplistic red lollipop. Its form is a roundish, smooth heart on a white stick. It is wrapped in clear plastic with a magical picture of a dancing heart on it.

So, what makes this candy special? The spell that is cast on it of course! The spell guesses the favourite flavour of the first two people who hold the lollipop after it is unpacked- the lollipop then switches flavour depending on who is holding it.
No more squabbles over flavour! Share a lollipop that both of you love birds will enjoy.


Entry 11
Flavor: Dark Chocolate with a hint of rose, mint and chili. The waffers are vanilla flavor.
Appearance: The vanilla waffers are coated with the chocolate mixture. After that the candy is affixed to a stick and spun to create a smooth but lightly spiral texture.
Texture: Cruncy, with a bit of spice at first followed by a bit of coolness.


Entry 12
Honeyduke's Everchanging Glamstoppers are the tastiest way to change your looks. Just pop one of these candies into your mouth and see what happens. Each candy layer has a different flavor, all of them delicious (unlike the Bertie Botts nobody wants to get). But that's not the exciting part. Each layer brings with it a new look, changing the color, length, and even texture of your hair to anything you can imagine.

Like what you see? Just pop out the candy and your new hairdo will stay perfectly styled until the next time you have a Glamstopper. Want to stick with your natural style? Entry 13
The Bird of Paradise is a delicate sweet shaped like a long-tailed tropical bird and apparently made from spun sugar. It is multicoloured and iridescent, and appears to change colour as it moves. The taste is very sweet and rich, and seems to cycle through vivid splashes of various tropical fruit flavours like pineapple, manga, and acai berries. More importantly, as the sweet dissolves slowly the bird sings a beautiful song, making it a very romantic treat. Nothing quite beats the sweet, humming sensation of kissing to your very own orchestra! (Warning: Do not leave these sweets out in direct sunlight or warm places, or they may melt and waste their songs!)
