Activity Dates: Voting until 5PM MDT (GMT -7)
Activity Points: 1st/2nd/3rd/Participation Only: 50/40/30/10 points & 20/15/10/5 knuts, respectively Voting worht 2 points.
Activity Details: Create a hex. Hexes go in and out of fashion, well it is up to you to create the hex that will be the next fad. What is the incantation? What is the visible effect? (ie Avada Kedavra produces green light) What happens to the person you hexed? Can not be "unforgivable" we aren't trying to kill our classmates or put them in St. Mungo's Please keep it at or under 150 words.

Entry 1:
My Hex would be something that wouldn't let a person speak for 10 minutes, they just had to observe what's around them and take everything in. This Hex would be used for someone who needed a reality check, or was cocky, growing a big head. By not letting them talk, they'd have to learn with their eyes and couldn't interject.

The visible effect would be: a red light

The incantation would be: Toi Recule

Entry 2:
Incendus Blachetus is a hex that shoots orange light in the shape flames from the casters wand tip. It blankets them and feels extremely heavy. It doesn’t truly harm the intended victim, but it causes them to feel like they are burning. The sensation only lasts about a minute, but it gives the caster a chance to flee or come up with another life altering spell or hex.

Entry 3:
Name: Perspicuus Pardus
What it does: It turns the victim's clothing transparent.
Visible effect: A stream of sparkles erupts from the wand in a clear jet. While it's invisible, there is a noticeable disturbance in the air similar to what heat does.
What happens: The victim is still clothed and warm, but they are like unto the emperor with no clothes. Yes, your enemy now appears nekkid.

Amusement ensues. :-)

Entry 4:
Venterimplosio: shoots a yellow light at the target, forcing his stomach to implode inwards and forcefully regurgitate it contents...in a projectile fashion. DO NOT USE WITHIN TEN FEET OF THE TARGET.

Entry 5:
The Hex: Stripperamaous
What are the visible effects: A faint pinkish light flowing towards the person it is casted upon
What Happens to the Person hexed: The person hexed now thinks they are a stripper, which includes dancing on tables, asking for dollars, and acting sleazy all around. Since the person already see themselves as naked, there is no clothing removed (come on we are in Hogwarts!).

Entry 6:
Hex: Flower Mouth Hex
Casting Instructions: Constans Flora
Effects: This hex causes the victim's mouth to fill up with flower petals every time he speaks which he must continue to vomit up. If the victim does not attempt to use his vocal chords, the petals stop. The spell lasts a few hours generally, though some cases have been known to last a day or more.

Entry 7:
Faecus - the hex for those pesky pieces of shite near you!

Ever known someone as foul as excrement? Ever wanted to give someone a literal payback for his attitude? Then this is the hex for you! Cast this spell and watch them get covered in shite from pink light!

Warning: Do not cast within 2 meters of someone. Not for the faint of nose!

Entry 8:
The Linguasis Hex causes the victim to speak in an unintelligible language while believing that she is conversing in her native tongue. This also means, of course, that the victim will be unable to cast verbal spells. While the spell is in force, victims often believe that those around them are playing a practical joke and are only pretending not to understand their language. When casted, the hex appears to be a simple breath of wind. The Linguasis Hex lasts for approximately one hour (depending on the ability of the caster) after which the victim regains her former speech. Since is results in such amusing scenes, it is extremely popular among Hogwarts students, who are particularly fond of casting it on their enemies immediately before an oral exam.

Entry 9:
The Helium Hex is an amusing and harmless spell mostly used to entertain or humiliate. The incantation, "Voxicle!" (meaning "small voice") produces a bright orange light that goes for the throat. The victim's vocal chords vibrate faster than normal, making their voice so high-pitched and squeaky that you almost can't hear them. It's even worse than inhaling helium!

Entry 10:
hex The Adorable Bunny Hex
what is does This is especially for those nasty, evil people who pride themselves on being above physical affection, love, and general cuteness. This spell (which manifests like a harmless pink light) will turn whomever it is casted upon into a fluffy white rabbit that any sane person would squee over. Your opponent is now incapacitated, unable to do magic, and is either being fawned over by a mob of people or being used as target practice by Death Eaters.

Entry 11:
Name: Silere Nausea

Visible Effects: Little silver/blue tendrils will escape from your wand and form the shape of wicked little pixies that fly away to the head of your victim and then become invisible within the air.

Effect on the victim: This hex will drive the victim insane when they are the only one who can hear the enormous clanging, giggling and evil chatter of Cornish pixies given pixie sized symbols and drums in their hands. Pixies go wild and make the biggest ruckus but the weird thing is no one can see them and soon the victim will realize that they are the only one’s who can hear them. The noise will follow them everywhere for the better part of two hours.

Entry 12:
Hex: Unbalancing Hex
Incantation: "Untruncia!"
Appearance: The feet, knees, and ears of the victim glow white for a short moment.
Effect: The Victim loses their balance immediately and falls to the ground, drops whatever they are holding, or becomes almost immobile. If they fall, they cannot get up until a counter hex is cast.

Entry 13:
Incantation - Nocens Presul

Recommended use - When someone is showing you up at the Yule Ball

Visible effect - Clear but glittery stream of air (almost like fairy lights)

Result - the person hexed would suddenly find that they have two left feet - literally

Entry 14:
The Catscratch Hex was a thankfully short-lived fad at Hogwarts which nonetheless managed to send its fair share of students wincing to the Hospital Wing for some soothing salves. It was so named because it acted like a very minor cutting charm, covering the effected area, with a single sweep of the wand, in very thin, small scratches which nonetheless stung like the dickens. The incantation, felis abras!, has since been banned by Filch.

Entry 15:
Incantation: Crepate! (from the Latin crepare, "to make a noise")

Effect: A bright white light flashes, and the victim is suddenly overwhelmed by a very loud, annoying sound, like a nail scraping on a chalkboard right next to their ear. It cannot be heard by anyone else. The usual result is that the victim instinctively claps their hands to their ears and is rendered incapacitated until the hex is reversed. If used enough, it could possibly drive the victim mad.

Entry 16:
The Phantom Hair Hex will drive your opponent insane, without ever making anyone suspect you. There is no telltale light or puff of smoke to give you away. The only visible result will be the constant annoyance of your enemy as they try and fail to capture the phantom hair that they believe torments them, leading to greater heights of aggravation and annoyance with each passing moment. This hex is cast by whispering "Hairus Phantonus" under your breath while making eye contact with your opponent. The effects last up to an hour, making it one of the only spells subtle enough for use in the classroom.

Entry 17:
The hex called simply Flagrante is performed using the incantation "Flagrante Delecto!" It lets off a deep purple light and results in the hexed person grabbing and snogging the closest animate object.

Entry 18:
Accecamento - translated from Italian to mean 'blinding', this hex causes temporary stinging blindness (think sort of a pepper spray hex) in the target if cast successfully. Effects can last from minutes up to a full 24 hours, and vary in intensity from mild stinging to intense pain, depending on the strength of the caster and their intent at the time of casting. This hex can be used to distract your opponent so you can get away (or give you time to cast another spell), or it can be used to specifically incapacitate someone*. Visible effects are nothing more than a slight shimmer or spray effect in the air between the attacking wand and the target (think a heat shimmer like you would see on a hot day).

*No permanent damage has ever been inflicted on anyone with this spell - it is only a temporary hex... but an effective one.
