Schedule and Activity Notes

First off: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE A MEMBER OF hogsmeadewkends SO YOU CAN SEE ALL POSTS!
Hogsmeade starts at 4PM MDT (UTC -6) on Friday and continues until 11 PM MDT, Sunday!

Bonus Participation
This Hogsmeade, as with the last few, there will be a bonus of 20 points/10 knuts for participation in all activities. All points-earning activities will be tagged "official points-earning activity" so that they are easy to find. As usual, any points earning activity that lasts fewer than 8 hours (aka the Hogsmeade Ball) will be excluded to make it fair for those in all timezones.

Beside my activities, there will be activities from numerous clubs and communities, so keep your eyes open!

All Visitors to Hogsmeade
All activities are open to active HiH members. Roster signups will not be required for activities this Hogsmeade.
Any member may make social posts during Hogsmeade. They do not have to be HP related.
There will be zero tolerance for personal attacks or house-bashing. Any complaints, please message me ASAP.

Club Leaders and Subcommunity Mods
Please be sure that your activities have been submitted to the system as usual and approved by Sas or Steph.
Use the "official points-earning activity" tag on your posts so our Members can find your activity easily.
Please make sure all deadlines give a specific time and time zone.
If you will need to post your results after 11PM MDT please let me know so that I can keep your posting access.

Social Directors
Use the "social director post" tag on your posts so our Members can find your activities easily. It will also ensure you receive your points/knuts.
Please try to spread your posts out over all three days instead of posting them all at one time.

Possibly a very unnecessary question, but signing posts -- standard Name//House, or not needed?
I'm asking specifically about responses to social posts, point-earning discussions, things such as that.

Good question. For all points-earning activities, signing with name/house is definitely required. Otherwise we wouldn't know where to put your points! o_O

For social posts, it's not required, but it might help other people get to know you a little faster. You don't have to stress if you forget, but since the point of Hogsmeade (one of, anyway) is to get to know each other, it'll help new friends remember you after the ~~firewhiskey~~ butterbeer wears off.

There are five Hogsmeade activities still unapproved, including yours. I sent Steph a list of the activities in question earlier today and requested her assistance in getting them approved in time. So it should be taken care of. She's probably gone to bed for the night, but she's come through for me before and I'm sure she'll take care of it in time.

One of the activities I've planned (four posts written out atm, one more in the works) is a friending meme but with very unusual questions, and I was thinking of posting it Sat/Sun. Would that be okay given there's an official one as well?

Yep. As long as their different questions it'll be fine. The official one has pretty standard questions. And it'll be one of the first things to go up, so there will be plenty of time to adjust your questions if you want to.

Yes, most definitely. Only activities with the "official points-earning activity" tag count toward the participation bonus. You may post whatever sort of games you like. (If you want to make sure they don't duplicate something already going on though, you can message me or drop a comment with what you're thinking at the club/comm signup post, where comments are screened, to make sure it isn't already being done. It's okay if it is though, so that's up to you.)

n00b question: in order to get the bonus points, do we have to participate in all activities or just the ones that are points-earning?

All points-earning activities, except those that are held for less than an eight hour time period. For this particular Hogsmeade, that should include twelve activities, assuming all club leaders post the activities they have planned as well.

I want to give people as long as they need to participate in my activity, that's why it closes with hogsmeade. Could I have posting access until one day after it to post the points?
