Here's a HiH question for you:

Which of the application questions was toughest for you to answer?

For anyone who's forgotten, the application is over here.

As for me, the question about designing a spell/potion/charm took me the longest to answer. I think it was tough because it's really rather difficult to come up with something that no one has thought of before. I probably spent the better part of an hour trying to think of an answer to that question that didn't sound completely stupid. x)

What about you guys?

I'm pretty sure it was "If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?" I had no clue at all what I would choose or what would fit me, so it took me awhile to answer that one

Easily the 5 best qualities bit. I can easily come up with things that suck about me, but try to get me to say something nice about myself and I draw a total blank!

Haha, yeah, I had trouble with that one too. It's actually rather difficult to toot your own horn, I think. I mean, I think most people have one or two things that they consider their "best" qualities, but thinking of five was rather hard. x)

My thoughts exactly! I had trouble narrowing down the worse qualities, but was really stuck on the best qualities.

Mine was If you were to face a boggart .

Personally I hate saying out loud things I fear for fear of them actually coming true. I guess I'm just superstitious that way.

I'm the same way. If I have a really bad dream, I rarely tell anyone. It's just easier to forget it. If I tell someone, I end up paranoid that it'll actually happen. :(

Me too! I don't like talking about bad dreams either, its like asking for trouble!

There were a couple that were hard for me. The designing a spell took me awhile. I was just stuck. And both the 5 good qualities & bad qualities were hard. I have a hard time describing myself.

I think it would be the animagus question, just because I have no interest in being an animagus and have never really thought about it.

The Mirror of Erised question. I think it's hard to really know your deepest desire because so many superficial things get in the way. I remember that I was hungry and had to keep resisting puting 'A WHOLE ROOM OF CHOCOLATE' down XD.

Also the boggart question. I have more emotional fears than physical, and making them appear as something that can be visualised is hard.

It'd have to be the 5 best qualities for me, too, followed by "Which HP character do you identify with most?," because I don't really identify strongly with any of them.

"If you had to choose between friends & family OR fame & fortune, which would you choose?"

My answer was easily fortune, but I don't desire fame, because I hate other people and having them especially want to talk with me makes me want to hit things. I think having friends would be nice, but I want nothing to do with any family but my brother. I was trying to answer it in a way that was true and not asshole-ish.

I had a chance to redo my app when the new one came out, since I was an official at the time. I didn't do it because I couldn't think of an answer to the boggart question. I knew it would turn into a metronome (yes, I have a phobia of metronomes) but I'm so damned scared of them that, well over a year later, I have no idea how one could ever be funny.

Maybe it could turn into one of my friends ticking and waving their arms, then having a 20-tonne anvil dropped on their heads. I would laugh at that.

The five best qualities question was definitley the hardest for me. I HATE writing about myself and the good things about me, because I'm far too self-critical and I don't wanna come across as being all big headed and stuff. I can think of things I don't like about myself really easily, but not things I like. So yeah, I didn't really enjoy that question.

There are two hard ones:
This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not?
Um, no, because I don't want to? Too much work, no need for glory ? Erm, I still don't know exactly why I wouldn't want to put my name in.

What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
I don't know that either... My deepest desire is to find a place in the world where I fit and can do good, but how's it going to show me that?

The mirror of erised question. My deepest desire is kind of blur. I mean, I probably have one, but it isn't a clear image in my mind. So it was difficult to describe it.

For me it was the 5 best qualities as well since I don't think I have many at all. I can make a big list of worst qualities though lol

Hmm...well, none were particularly tough, but mostly because I rambled as I thought.

I guess the 'Who do you identify with most' question was the most difficult, for two reasons.

One...it's just -hard- to figure out which character I identify with, because often it is not a favourite character...and it does not come to mind quickly because of that.

Two...because when I decided who I identified with [Tom Riddle] I knew I would be slaughtered by the voters :X

The best qualities question was hard. I can never pick out any good qualities in me, but my worst qualities list is so long I don't know which to choose!

The definition of the main house traits were also a pain for me. Loyalty is just loyalty, ambition is just ambition, intelligence is just intelligence... I'm not good with words at all.

The 5 best qualities probably. I was all "but I don't haveeee 5 best qualitiessss" A lot took forever though. It was hard to find like the best answer for each, you really have to think about yourself for a while because you get your right answer. But I also kept doing other things so it took like EXTRA EXTRA long.

The top 5 worst/best qualities. There were too little slots for worst qualities, and too many for best qualities. :P

For me it was talking about my 5 best and worst habits. Not sure if the questions still on the application, but it was when I applied.
