This is something that I had worked on with a friend of mine (bad_influence) for an RPG that I was running about 2 years back. We had a Musical Day in the RPG where a spell went awry and all the characters couldn't contain themselves (yes, for all you Buffy fans, the majority of the RP'ers at the time, were huge Joss fans and that's where the idea sprung from). There are a few minor references to non-canon characters and events, but overall this parody is typical Ron/Hermione.

If people really like this maybe I'll post a few more of the parodies later after work.

I left in the original actions as well, so it reads in story/script format. I wrote Ron's parts, plus the strange interlude. Hermione was written by my friend. And I'll give a gold star to whoever can guess who the strange guest is in the middle of the musical number is. ^-^

This particular song happens to be a parody of "I'll Never Tell" from the Buffy musical episode.

here is something that caught my eye watching prisoner of azkaban for the third time and i thought i'd share with you all.


do you remember how JKR said the third movie foreshadows a bit for the future books?


well, what i find disturbing is that in the movie when harry is lurking the halls for peter pettigrew, he's looking at the map and the map shows that he, harry potter, is next to the room of doom.


nothing is a coincidence when it comes to harry potter. maybe that's a clue that harry will indeed not survive the end of the series.


what do you all think about that?

i thought i would share a painting i did last month :) i made it for a fellow employees daughter. we draw pics back and forth but i felt bad when she left me a note one day saying, "i miss your drawings". so i thought i would make her something better than just a drawing :)

Just curious, but how has Harry Potter affected your life?

For me, it brought me closer to my best friend as a very similar interest. It also brought much more joy and humor, as my brothers LOVE spoofing it and making my family laugh. I have also met people who like Harry Potter, and I have become good friends with :)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I know that for me there are certain songs that will always make me think of certain characters/ships/events. I figured I'd ask you all what song reminds you of each of the following (I basically did a bunch of really random things. My answers are included):

Harry: Five for Fighting- Superman. The song deals with a person who has been forced to become a hero for everyone, but is flesh and blood like the rest of us. Very much a song that Harry could relate to. lyrics

Draco Malfoy: Alanis Morissette, Narcissus. This song deals with the often arrogant nature of Draco. Love him or hate him, this song is exactly who Draco is- IMO. Personally, I love the guy, but I can't deny the song has got him pegged. lyrics

Professor Snape: Lifehouse Sick Cycle Carousel. This song is about how a person can get trapped in trying to follow a certain pathway. The great thing is that this song can be interpreted two ways: in his early life, following Tom Riddle and trying to be that person; in his later life, tying to walk away from Voldemort. Very interesting. lyrics

Hermione: Pat Benatar, Invincible. Hermione is just not the type of girl to sit around and wait for someone to do something for her. She does what she needs to do. She is strong and fights for what she believes in.lyrics

Your Favorite Character (or another character of your choice, if favorite already listed above: My favorite character is Luna. Everytime I hear the song Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) by Edison Lighthouse, I think of some guy singing about her. In my mind, it tends to be Neville, but I'm just odd that way. lyrics

Your OTP: My OTP is Draco/Ginny. Evanescence's Anywhere always makes me think of these two escaping their famlies together and starting over. Very sweet. In actuality though, this song could work with just about any angsty pairing. lyrics

I know that alot of us have a certain HP book, line, character, but how many of you have one specific chapter?

Mine is in OOTP, CH. 27, The Centaur and the Snake. When Dumbledore takes the heat for the DA leauge, that showed us that he truly cared about each and everyone of his students, not just Harry.
