 Remember in Chamber of Secrets when Harry was humilated by the singing Dwarf and Ginny's horrible Valentine? You know, the "Eyes as Green as a Fresh Pickled Toad" thing.  You do? Good! 

Your Challenge: Write your own little ditty that a dwarf would sing to any Harry Potter character you want, from any Harry Potter character you want.  

I thought this was kind of funny. It's a Harry Potter title generator, and it comes up with some pretty amusing things.

How many of you have attended the fan-dom gatherings that have happened or will be happening. This year we have Phoenix Rising, Sectus and Prophecy. Are any HiHers planning to attend those?

My first experience in the fan-dom was at The Witching Hour in Salem, MA. I had a blast, met so many of the people who I knew from online, made a lot of new friends, as well as learned about different areas and interests in the fan-dom. It was really an experience because I went by myself and I really didn't know anyone who was going. At the time I wasn't as involved in all the LJ communities for the fan-dom, so I was pretty much a fresh face in the crowd. At the Welcoming Feast it was said that many of us had done this and we know must know what it is like for a first year at Hogwarts who comes from a muggle family.

This year I am attending Prophecy 2007 in Toronto. In fact I am on the Decade of Enchantment Ball committee, so I am involved in the planning of it. I'd love to meet up with some fellow HiHers while there. So let me know if you are going.

So, my question/ discussion is: What do you think of Daniel Radcliffes performance in Equus. I mean I haven't seen it, nor will I have a chance too... But do you think you could still see him as Harry Potter after almost seeing his... nibbly bits?

How long has it taken you to read the books? 

For me, I don't remember how long it took me to read the first four.  For book 5, I got it on the day it came out - I read pretty much non-stop from 9 am to 11 pm. 

For book 6, I read from about 10 am to about 7 pm on the release date.
