Imagine that the boys of Gryffindor are forced to room with the boys of Slytherin for one week. This is completely unavoidable; due to reasons beyond anyone's control, there are no other options.

Right now, I want some of you to stop and clear your mind of all perverted thoughts [I know, this will take a while].

All right. Let's continue. What do you think would happen between the characters? Fights? Would they sit in a circle and sing Kumbaya? Be creative but try to keep it in-character XD

harry potter name game

Can i put a game on here?

I've always loved playing this game. We start out with a word, spell, or name relating to harry potter and then the next person has to say another word or spell or name relating to harry potter that STARTS with the LAST letter of the previous word. Example:

1st word: Potter
2nd word: Remus

Get it? Oh and try not to repeat words. And I don't think there's a word that starts with X, so no using the word NOX lol. Let's play =] First word is:

midnight openings

Are you dressing up for the movie and book midnight openings? I found the most perfect Gryffindor tie at Wal-mart and I have my whole outfit picked out =] I'm going as Hermione just cuz I can pull her off with my brown hair. I'd rather be Ginny, but alas, no red hair. Who are you dressing up as?

What do you think about the Sorting Hat's song that included the warning for the houses to unite? Do you think that this would be good advice for the future of Hogwarts? Should the separation by house be stopped permanently?

Would you want to attend a school that separated you into houses and used a point system as Hogwarts does?

[Yes, this scenario is pure silliness, as many of mine have been]

You are in year seven at Hogwarts, just as Harry and his friends are. While assisting our young heroes, you discover that Dumbledore himself was a Death Eater. When you and the others approach McGonagall about it, she binds you without giving a response. As she casts her spell, you notice that she bears the dark mark [great timing!].

Is your world torn apart at this knowledge? Would you be able to accept that the 'good' guys have been the bad guys all along? Do you think that Snape would ~~ride in on a white steed~~ ~~ride in on a broomstick~~ glide in to save the day?

Scenario: A few days before the book comes out, you go into a bookstore and immediately see a little huddle of people in the corner, you go over and realize that they are surrounding another book seller who is holding the 7th Harry Potter book in his hands. He/She says that one of you can have it, but you need to do _______.

How much crazy stuff would you to get the book? Where would be the point where it's not worth it any more?

In the same vein as

sunflower_pixie's sort the characters from Firefly post and

jellybellys's sort the PotC characters posts, let's open it up to more fandoms.

Pick your favorite fandom (other than Harry Potter, of course) and sort the characters! Is Legolas a Ravenclaw? Xander Harris a Hufflepuff? Count Olaf a Slytherin? Dr. Jack Shephard a Gryffindor?

Who's re-reading the HP books before the 7th book or 5th film come out? Are you reading all of them or just the last ones?

Personally I'm going to start re-reading books 4-6 now before Deathly Hallows comes out. I want to be all clued in on Horcuxes and the like!

Ships

What are your favorite ships.

What ships do you want to happen in the book? What ships do you ship for fun and don't see happening?

I ship Ron/Hermione for the book and have since the beginning. In fandom I go for Harry/Draco because their oppositeness is fun. The love/hate relationship is fun. I don't see it happening in the book and can't say that I actually want it to happen. I do that one just for fun. I do like him with Ginny for the book and would personally like to see them get together in the end.

It's time to break out MS Paint and start drawing stick figures! I'll start off a story, and just reply to following comments with a picture or text to continue the story (or both!) Wizard Wear

Okay I really want to know what everyone thinks, but I'm going out for a bit, so I will respond when I get back!

Alright, so in the wizarding world, in your day to day life what would you wear? Muggle clothes? Robes? Both?
I mean personally I think I'd be wearing jeans, tshirt, sweaters, sweatshirts, robes over top like a jacket sort of thing with my chuck taylors or vans shoes, maybe something super wizardy once in awhile. So tell me! what do you see yourself wearing? Be detailed!

I ask because I want to make my own muggley wardrobe more interesting, but I'm not going to commute on the train in robes, ya know? I did buy a plum velvet jacket awhile ago and you know what I thought of as soon as I saw it? Dumbledore flashback! So yea.

I do think about this alot...haha.

Director of HP and the DH?

I'm just curious who you would like to see direct the final movie. A return of Chris Columbus, perhaps? I know that Joss Whedon has mentioned that he would be interested in directing one of the movies, but honestly, I don't think that directing other people's original work is his forte.
Who do you think could best give the final movie the mood/feeling/respect that it deserves?

The Sorting Hat Wants to Sort Your Pets

Where would the sorting hat put your pets (past/present pets are fine) and why?

My cats:
Jayne (named after the character on Firefly) would be a Hufflepuff. He's incredibly friendly, but has the ability to use his teeth and claws when it is necessary.

Miss Kitty Fantastico would be a Ravenclaw. She takes herself kind of seriously and is incredibly beautiful.

My dog:
Gizmo - Gryffindog, but more like a Neville kind of Gryffindor.

My brother's cats:
Indiana Jones (Indy) - Pure Lion. Looks like a lion, pounces like a lion, and plays like a lion.

Salacious Crumb - So Slytherin it isn't funny. She does not like outsiders and yet will protect her family with her life. Plus, (sorry I'm thinking canon here folks, not HiH) she's aloof and kind of stuck-up.

If you were in Harry's position just before he looked into Dumbledore's pensieve, would you have done the same, or would you have witheld your curiosity and not looked. I think I probably would've been unable to resist, myself. Pensieves are fascinating!

Coffee Drinks

All of the HP students take a field trip (with their Professors) to a muggle coffee shop. What do they order and why?

I think that Snape orders a double espresso because it seems very well, severe, but really he wants to order a Mocha Frapaccino (sp?)

Music at Hogwarts

Dumbledore once said, "Ah music, a magic beyond all we do here," and yet there is very little focus on music in the books. What instrument do you imagine different Hogwarts students would play?

I think that Hermione would play the flute and Ron would play a tuba.
